"Get your damn self together ok? Stop acting like you control my damn life!"
"Don't say that. I am not acting like a freak, I’m just trying to work things out, but obviously the effort is only coming from my side!"
"You know what? I will not be having this conversation with you AGAIN!! You know you should probably go date a robot that does things at your command. We're done!"
Tears flowed from my eyes as I sat on my bed and remembered the last sentence that tore my life apart.....
I am Emily Edwards, a prospective scientist who is apparently no good at biology because I have a huge hole in my heart. I attend Legacy High School in Florida, just 20 miles from my house. I am currently a senior with straight A's but I think I excel more in the subject of regression. Did I mention that I am 16? Yes I am. Sixteen and in a whole bag of shit. Yeah I know what you’re thinking, how the hell can I be sixteen and wish I were already 100?? My life is a mess, I just wish I could start it over in another world, but since that is impossible I’ll just share all the past, present and future with you.
I live in a three bedroom apartment in the best part of Florida you could think of. Although I have a good amount of assets to call my own at my age, regularity stops there. Everyone would think of me as a rich spoilt brat, but actually I’m the total opposite. I go to school five days for the week and go to work the next two. I basically live alone because my mother is a drug addict so she stays at a rehabilitation centre around the block and my dad is a prominent member of parliament who has to attend meetings every day. He normally crashes at hotels for the night and come home around mid-day when I’m at school to pick up fresh suits and hit the road again. Laundries and fast food restaurants do not benefit from my family because I do allll the work. Those suits that my father models are hand-washed and ironed by me; he believes that tap water does it “better”. His brother, my uncle, is a farmer so he delivers fresh fruits and vegetables to my house every weekend to prepare my dad’s lunch. He is such a cheapskate; he became a vegetarian just to avoid going to the supermarket. He is not so bad though because he still pays the bills. My mom is a total different case. She somehow found out where I work on weekends and shows up half-naked, puffing on a cigarette, crying for me to take her back home. If it were up to me alone I would, but my dad says if I want to stay at his house I should not allow her to pass his gate. Weird huh? They were married for over 10 years and when I do try to find out the cause of their breakup I get a 1000 bucks too shut the hell up.
Yes I know, my home life is not one that you wish for, funny, because you haven’t heard about the school life just yet..

So this book is not going to be the best. I am just trying to put a few thoughts together and see how it works. Trust me it will have a twist so it’s best to follow up on the updates that will come in on Sundays only. Read along
