Golden Moon

Chapter 2

I overheard Chance say to Ace, "I guess that Golden doesn't have his canine teeth sharp enough yet." He then proceeded to look and smile at me, it was a cheesy grin. After Ace was done he would lay down and wait for Chance and me to finish what he had hunted for the day's meal. It tasted great , it was rabbit. I then decided to stop and looked up at the beautiful, clear, blue sky. Then I noticed something that I never had before, that was a ring above my head. It was glowing gold, I did not know where it came from or why I had it. So like usual I barked and chased after it. The ring, which I could never get because it followed my head every where I moved, was never visible at night. While I was doing my thing Chance and Ace exchanged looks with each other, but these were looks of concern. They both then looked at me, of course I stopped what I was doing and looked back at them. Chance proceeded to say, "Golden.....I think that you are a.... angel" I tilted my head and asked, "What is a angel?" Ace then said, " Let me explain this, Chance keep a lookout for other nearby packs." He then made a amazing show with his magic. I was staring in awe at it, and it also captured my full attention. He then said, " When wolves die..... the good ones go to heaven and.... Well the bad ones go to a place called hell... The souls of the good get turned into angels....." I started to get a little worried, I let Ace continue and tried to hide my emotions the best I could form Ace. Ace continued, "They have halos and wings, that is what sets them apart from regular old wolves.... Well.... Like Chance..." Chance over heard this and butted in, "Hey!... I am not just any plain old wolf... you know.."
