Lion-o and his True love

Chapter 26 Lion-o's sick day

Lion-o was practicing with his sword at a waterfall. 

"Look at him go, he sure is stoked." Wilykat said.

"Yes I hope the water cools him off." Tygra said.

Lion-o made a big slash at the water and got soaked. 

"He's getting much better at controlling the sword." Cheetara said.

Pumyra saw Lion-o. "Lion-o dry off, you'll catch a cold!" she said tossing him a towel.

"Thanks Pumyra," Lion-o said. "AHCHOO!" he sneezed.

The next morning. 

"Lion-o is taking his time," Wilykit said.

"He was up practicing till almost sunrise." Cheetara said.

"Yes, he was," Tygra said.

"Can you get him for us Wilykit?" Pumyra asked.

"Sure," Wilykit said.

Lion-o came out. "Hey Lion-o," Wilykit said. 

"Huh?" Lion-o said.

"Breakfast is ready," Wilykit said.

Pumyra came over. "Lion-o go splash some cold water on your face it's time for breakfast." Pumyra said.

Lion-o walked up to then his head fell on her shoulder and he start muttering. "Lion-o are you okay?" Pumyra asked.

"Pumyra, I... ho," Lion-o said slipping and almost fell face first in the dirt.

"WHOA!" everyone said.

Pumyra touched Lion-o's forehead. Then she gasped. "Lion-o's sick he's got a fever." She said.

"He needs to get back to bed." Cheetara said.

The others nodded. 

Pumyra was wiping Lion-o's face with a cool wet clothe. "His fever must be high the rag gets warm fast." Pumyra said.

"He got soaked yesterday so he must of got pretty sick." Tygra said.

Snarf meowed and looked worried. 

"Are you worried Snarf?" Wilykit asked.

Snarf meowed and nodded. 

"Don't worry he should be fine," Panthro said.

Pumyra looked in her medicine bag. "I don't have the right herbs I need to make Lion-o some medicine." she said.

"I saw some healing herbs in the forest nearby," Cheetara said. "Which herbs you need?' she asked.

Pumyra got out her book and showed Cheetara. "I need these herbs right here." Pumyra said.

"Great I can go look for those," Pumyra said.

"Good now make sure, you don't take more than you need we must respect the balance of nature." Pumyra said.

"Okay, then," Cheetara said.

"I'll go and see if any of the nearby towns has anything you need and so I can pick up some other supplies that we need." Panthro said.

"Okay, then, Wilykit will you come with me help with the herb gathering." Cheetara asked.

"Sure," Wilykit said.

"Panthro I'll help you in gathering the supplies," Tygra said.

"Can I come too?" Wilykat asked.

"Okay, just don't cause any trouble." Panthro said.

"I'll stay here and look after Lion-o." Pumyra said.

"Take good care of my brother." Tygra said.

"I will," Pumyra said.

Lion-o was sleeping. He was snoring but not that loud. 

After the others left Pumyra went right back to tending to Lion-o.  

Lion-o opened his eyes. "Pumyra?" Lion-o asked.

"Lion-o you must rest." Pumyra said.

"I feel hot and cold at the same time," Lion-o said. He sounded stopped up. "My nose is stuffy, my head hurts, my throat feels so sore." he said.

"You caught a bad cold Lion-o." Pumyra said.

Pumyra got somethings out. 

"What are you doing?" Lion-o asked.

"I'm going to make you some ginger root mint tea." Pumyra said. "It should help ease the soreness in your throat." she said.

"Can have some water I feel so thirsty." Lion-o said.

"I figured you would be asking for a drink of water." Pumyra said. The got his canteen and gave it to him.

Lion-o opened it and began to drink.

"Hey take it easy, you might make yourself sick to your stomach." Pumyra said.

Lion-o stopped and laid back down. Pumyra then place a cool clothe on his head. 

"That feels good," Lion-o said.

"I bet it does, now try to rest." Pumyra said.

Pumyra started to make the tea.

Snarf curled up next Lion-o. Lion-o smiled and started pet Snarf.

Once the tea was finished Pumyra put some honey in it. "That should do it." Pumyra said. She gave the cup to Lion-o.

"Be careful it's hot." Pumyra said.

"Thank you," Lion-o said. Then he sipped the drink.

Tygra, Panthro and Wilykat managed to get the supplies they need.

"Good we have our supplies, now we can head back." Wilykit said.

Cheetara and Wilykit had found the herbs the Pumyra asked for and were taking them back to camp for her to make the medicine for Lion-o.

Pumyra saw that everyone has come back. 

"Great now I can make Lion-o's medicine." Pumyra said.

Pumyra made Lion-o's medicine. "Here Lion-o take this." Pumyra said handing him the bowl.  "Make sure you drink it." she said.

"It's going to be bitter." she told him.

Lion-o drank the medicine like Pumyra told him too. "Yuck," Lion-o said. "It is bitter." he said.

"Bitter medicine is what works the best." Pumyra said.

"Thanks Pumyra, I'm sure by tomorrow I'll be all better." Lion-o said.

"I'm sure of that too, now get some rest." Pumyra said.

The next morning Lion-o woke up. He felt some much better. He walked out and saw the others having breakfast.

"How are you feeling?" Tygra asked.

"A lot better." Lion-o said. "It's all thanks to the medicine that Pumyra whipped up." he said.

"It was also because you got plenty of rest." Pumyra said. "But you are still recuperating, I say sometime by tomorrow you will feel even better." she said.

"Thanks," Lion-o said.
