A/N - Finn and Clarke didn't have a relationship in this story! They were just friends.
Octavia joined them outside and knelt down in front of Clarke.
"We're going to bury him with the others. You don't have to be there but we're going to have a gathering to celebrate his life." Octavia smiled softly.
"No. I want to be there. Finn saved my life. He deserves to be celebrated." Clarke nodded.
Octavia nodded at her before walking back into the dropship. Bellamy's eyes followed her until she disappeared behind the parachute door. He looked back down at Clarke who seemed to be staring at nothing, lost in her own world.
"I know it's hard, but it'll get better." Bellamy said softly and kissed the top of her head. He silently grieved the loss of his friend. Despite having a few differences with Finn at the start, Bellamy had come to be good friends with him. Everyone in camp liked Finn and his death would hit them hard.
"What are we supposed to say to everyone? We have to tell them what happened and they're going to want to know who did this to him." Clarke suddenly spoke.
"We'll handle it." Bellamy simply replied. He didn't add anything else so Clarke rested her head on Bellamy's shoulder again.
"Thank you." She whispered softly.
"For what?" Bellamy asked.
"For just being you. For never giving up on me and always being the one to remind me when I'm being stupid." Clarke said, looking up at him.
"Getting upset over a friends death isn't stupid Clarke." Bellamy told her.
"I don't mean that. You made me realise that going to look for the ark on my own was dangerous. You made me realise that us being apart was stupid. You made me realise that I don't, no, I can't do this without you." Clarke said, looking straight into his eyes.
Bellamy didn't reply. He simply pushed his lips to hers. Clarke reached a hand around the back of his neck, pulling him closer.
"I couldn't give up on you if I tried." Bellamy smiled as they pulled away from each other.
Finn's burial had gathered the entire camp together. Almost every single member of the camp had something to say about him. There wasn't a dry eye in sight. Even Murphy shed a tear as they shovelled dirt onto Finns lifeless body, burying him in the ground. Bellamy stayed beside Clarke the entire time and Clarke was pleased to have him there.
Raven gave a long speech as the sun began to set. She had people laughing, smiling and crying throughout. Once she had finished, the moonshine was brought out and everyone raised a cup in honour of their fallen friend. It was an emotional day to say the least. Crying, laughing, smiling, frowning. All the emotions rode through camp like a hurricane. Clarke and her friends sat on their usual logs around their usual campfire, an empty space left for Finn, sharing stories involving him.
"He always tried to see the best in everybody." Raven smiled, causing everyone to smile with her. "He always wanted peace."
"He sacrificed so much for us, always willing to go that extra step to ensure the camps safety." Clarke added. Bellamy's grip tightened on Clarke's waist and he knew she was talking about the time he had volunteered to go to the grounder camp and negotiate peace. The plan had of course backfired when Clarke met them on the bridge and all hell broke lose.
The night wore on and people began to get tipsy from the effects of the moonshine. Spirits were higher as they celebrated the life of Finn Collins. The small group of friends were now laughing as Monty and Jasper sat opposite each other at one of the tables, their friends gathered around them, preparing themselves for an arm wrestling competition. They made bets as to who would win, the loser would have to clean out the toilet stalls for a month. The winner would then battle against another.
