prologue

(cherianne's p.o.v)

i sighed as i rounded a corner with my swords raised i jumped as Skye screamed as she saw me ''what the hell?''she yelled holding her chest i rolled my eyes ''oh quit whining, we gotta get raina and get outta here.''i said before walking on, around five  minutes later we saw Mack with his back to us standing like a statue ''Mack?'' sky questioned She sighs with relief and drops her arms.''You scared the hell out of me. What are you doing down here?'' she continued She grabs his arm but gets no response from him. ''Mack?!?''she yelled i sighed and pulled her away but she resists and turns him toward her and sees his zombie eyes staring blankly at us, she gasps and steps away from him. She holds her light in front of his face waving it but he shows no reaction.''¿que demonios?'' i said confused (what the hell?)

''Okay. Okay, come on. Come – we got to get out of here.''She pulls on him but he doesn't budge. ''Mack.'' She pushes him a few times still with no response from him. ''Mack! Okay. I'm gonna come back. Okay?'' we walks past him into the chamber Raina entered with her gun drawn and my swords raised. we find Raina standing by the podium holding The Obelisk. Skye drops the glow stick/flashlight onto the ground pointing her gun at Raina me taking a fightin stance next to her.

''I knew you'd come'' raina said turning to look at us  ''Somebody has to stop you.'' i snarled  
''Your whole lifes, our whole lives, have been leading to this moment.''raina said making me glare at her ''Sorry, I don't buy into the whole "this is your destiny" thing. We're taking The Obelisk and we're leaving. There are too many lives at stake.''sky stated ''yeah you deluded psicópata'' i spat. (psychopath) ''You got it all wrong. Whitehall, everyone has got it all wrong. This doesn't destroy, it gives life – new life. We finally get to find out what we become.'' raina tried to convince us She smiles happily at us while she holds The Obelisk. The Obelisk makes a clicking noise and Raina looks down at it and finds it glowing. ''Make it stop.''me and skye demand.

Raina laughs. ''I can't.'' She lets The Obelisk go and it floats in the air then comes to rest on the podium. ''None of us can now.'' Skye lowers her gun whilst i lower my swords and look at The Obelisk with shock. we all look around when the room we are in begins to rumble. ''If you want to leave, now's your chance.'' raina offered The door that we all entered through is slowly closing. Skye looks at the door then back at Raina. ''I got to admit, I'm just the tiniest bit nervous.'' we all stand and stare at The Obelisk. Skye looks around wildly as the doors start to close in the room. Raina however is not nervous at all, she wears a large smile looking around. Suddenly a torch appears followed by Trip just as a door is closing. ''No, Trip!'' me and skye shout Trip hurries over to us as the door closes behind him.

''What are you doing here?'' skye asked ''I came to get you two''he said They both look around the room. Skye's eyes have fallen back to The Obelisk as Trip looks nervously around. His eyes find The Obelisk too and he takes a step back when The Obelisk opens. Inside The Obelisk are a bunch of light blue crystals that grow as the cover is opened. Raina looks at them with wonder, Skye and Trip with suspicion while i look at it blankly waiting for it to do something dangerous. ''How do we stop it?''trip asked Skye shakes her head as the crystals grow even bigger. ''I don't think we can.'' i stated 

 Skye and Trip stare at the crystals, now Skye's looking with wonder and Trip looks frightened. ''What's supposed to happen?'' trip asked like we knew Raina looks at it with a dreamy look on her face ''Something beautiful.'' she says  Suddenly a mist shoots out from The Obelisk/The Crystals hitting me, Raina and Skye in the chest. The we are blow backwards as Trip tries to shield his face.

(3rd persons p.o.v)  

  all three women have regained themselves and are moving closer to The Obelisk as Trip stays back. Suddenly cherianna's,Riana and Skye's hands start to transform, they become covered in the block rock/burning flesh as the other people who have touched The Obelisk – however they are not in pain as the others were. Skye drops the gun and looks at her arm worriedly as the blackness spreads up.''Oh, God.'' she says afraid cherianna screams in frustration when she cant move her arms Trip looks over with big worried eyes then looks down at his own arms, nothing is happening. He looks back over to Skye and Cher. ''Oh – oh, God.'' Skye freaks whilst cher starts to ramble in Spanish Skye's gasping but not screaming with pain.''Tr-Trip!''Skye stuttered afraid

She reaches out to him as the blackness envelops her other hand across her body and up her neck. Trip looks at The Obelisk trying to figure out what to do. Both Raina and Skye are completely covered with the blackness and so is cher as Trip turns his back to The Obelisk and kicks it hard shattering it. He falls down onto his side breathing hard and looks over to Raina then Skye then cher and sees that what he's done has made no difference. They are all cocooned inside their shells.  ''No. No!'' he screams

He reaches out for Skye and cher but they just look like their body's are made of ash. Trip takes a few breaths with tears in his eyes then looks down. A fragment of a crystal is embedded in his chest and the burning starts to spread at the point where it entered. Trip moves his eyes up focusing on his friends as the blackness creeps up his neck onto his face then covers him completely. Everything is still in the chamber as all four of them look as if their bodies are made of nothing but ash. Suddenly, after a few moments, one of Raina's hands cracks and we see her fingers moving. The crust around her eye breaks apart, but it's not the eyes of Raina we've come to know looking out. These eyes are yellow. We see Skye's fingers start to break apart as well then the breaking travels up her arms. A piece above her eye breaks and she is staring at the ash body of Trip on the floor looking up at her. Skye's eyes start to tear, when she throws her head back, arches her back and all the pieces break off of her in one motion. Some sort of shock wave emits from her as the ash blows off her body and removing cher's own cocoon A rumbling inside the chamber happens as rock drops down from the ceiling.

  Skye and cher look over at Trip and watches as he crumbles into nothing before their very eyes.  Skye's face crumbles with sadness and guilt watching him crumble whilst cher collapses screaming in anguish with tears streaming down her face but also confusion as everything felt heightened.
