Maria POV
When we got to the principles office we had one minute to spare. When the principle came in he said that there would be no monitor. When I heard that I freaked out and I can tell Jake was too. Wait, what? Why is he freaked out I should be the one to freak out.
Jake POV
When me and Maria arrived at the office the principle told us that there will be no monitor and I freaked out. When I saw the look on Maria's face it showed she was totally freaked out. Wait, why is she freaked out? I should be the one freaked out I have the crush on her.
Maria POV
Jake looks a little confused and i cannot understand why he is so confused. The detention started and all was quiet. No one talked. Jake was in deep thought. About what, though? Then he looked at me forever.
I said, "What?"
He said, "Nothing."
Jake POV
While the detention went on, I could tell that Maria was looking at me. I could tell she sensed I was confused and that she knew I was in deep thought. Then my eyes darted to her lips and a thought I could not get out of my head came. She looked at me and i found my way to her eyes and smiled.
She looked confused, then asked, "Why are you staring at me?"
"Because you are pretty." The words came out so fast. I did not have time to think until after.
Maria POV
Jake just sat and looked at me then I asked, "Why are you staring at me?"
"Because you are pretty." After he said that he had a weird look on his face.
All of a sudden I felt myself start to blush and then the bell rang. thanks for saving my butt, bell. And I walked away.
