hold on

i lost everything. i lost my best friend. i lost my family. i lost everything.

count my ribs another time. 1. 2. 3. count again. 4. 5. 6. close my eyes and count to 10.

michael was my best friend. he moved away when we were 14. then just like that he was gone. after that, i started giving up.

my parents divorced, leaving me alone with my mother. i was the only child, left by myself.

michael was my escape. he made me happy. he made me smile. then one day in july of our 14th year, he was gone.

he said "hold on, i'll be back for you" and i believed him.

i think i like the shorter chapters better but idk. i think the ones with dialogue and stuff will be longer.
