"It's you!" Ellen gasped. The girl looked confused.

"Me? What are you talking about?" She asked.

"You! You were in my hospital room! Why were you in my hospital room?!"

"But I've never visited you in the hospital, this is the first time I've ever seen you before," the girl said innocently.

"No, you were there! You sat on my bed!"

"Are you alright? Do you need to lie down?" The girl put a hand on Ellen's shoulder, her bright green eyes full of concern.

"I'm fine, I just..." It didn't make sense. That was the exact same girl, she was sure of it. There was no way she would ever forget a face like that.

"You don't seem alright. Look, I understand, it's a bit much to take in. Did you eat this morning? Are you dehydrated? You know what, you just relax," she lightly pushed Ellen into the nearest chair, "and I'll get you some water,"

The girl rushed out of the room, and rushed back in a second later. "My names Maggie, by the way," she said with a smile, then she was gone.

Ellen sighed and rubbed her eyes. That had to be the girl. Or was it? Doubts began to creep into Ellen's mind. The one in her dreams could've just LOOKED like Maggie. Either that, or she really was going crazy. She decided that the best course of action was to not think about it too much. To distract herself, Ellen decided to take a look around her new home.

She appeared to be sitting in the dining room. A large table took up most of the space, adorned in a red and gold tablecloth. The walls were covered in wallpaper of the same colors. There were various objects around the room, from fancy china to sketches of dresses to broken flowerpots. It was formal and yet homely at the same time. Ellen relaxed in her chair. It was nice.

It didn't take long for Maggie to come rushing back in with a glass of water. She practically shoved it into Ellen's hands, saying, "Here, drink this,"

Ellen mumbled a thank you and took a sip.

"So, how're you feeling?" Maggie asked.

"Fine, thank you. I'm sorry about earlier, I don't know what came over me," Ellen said. She figured it would be better to not bring it up again.

Maggie waved her hand. "Ah, don't worry about it, you were probably just tired or something. Anyways," Maggie plopped down next to Ellen, "What's your story?"

"My...story...?"

"Yeah, your story! Why are you here, what happened to you, that sort of thing. For example, I was abandoned at the age of 9 by my parents. I lived in various orphanages for awhile until about 2 years ago, when Mrs. Skeevy found me," Maggie a piece of gum out of her pocket and popped it in her mouth, before adding, "You don't have to tell, if you don't want to,"

Ellen looked away. "N-no, I'd rather not, sorry," she muttered.

"It's cool! You done with your drink?" Maggie asked, pointing to Ellen's empty cup.

"Yes, thank you," Ellen handed the cup to Maggie, who hopped up out of her seat.

"Alright, let's go explore!"

After showing Ellen the kitchen and the bathrooms (both of which were neater and bigger than what Ellen was used to), Maggie dragged her outside.

"Here we have our backyard! There's not a lot back here, but there's plenty of space to run around and be stupid in. You're allowed to go into the woods, but you have to have at least one person with you. There's a tree stump, and-oh! Let's go see the garden!" Maggie walked over to a white fence with a gate and flung it open.

"Wow," Ellen breathed. It was beautiful. Flowers in all the colors of the rainbow covered almost every square inch of the garden, apart from a small dirt path. Bees buzzed by her head and colorful butterflies rested upon the leaves. Everything was lively and wonderful.

Ellen noticed a small caterpillar crawling along one of the leaves as she walked further into the garden. She didn't, however, notice the girl sitting on the path right in front of her.

"Woah!" Ellen exclaimed. She tripped and tumbled over the girl, landing on one of her bruises. She gasped and winced.

"Ellen!" Maggie jumped over the girl and landed next to Ellen.

"You alright?" The girl asked. She didn't seem the least bit surprised.

"I'm fine, sorry," Ellen sat up and looked at the strange girl. She had long red hair, braided to the side and covered in flowers. Freckles were scattered on her nose and below her blue eyes. She seemed to be a little older than Ellen.

"Geez, you sure you're ok? It looked like you got hit somewhere painful..." Maggie looked over Ellen's body.

Blushing, Ellen said, "It's ok, really. I'm alright," she stood up to get away from Maggie's concerned stare.

The girl got up too, and smiled at Ellen. "Hello, my name is Angela. Are you the new girl?" She asked dreamily. She didn't look at Ellen, but instead stared off into the distance at some imaginary object.

"Yes, hello. Sorry again for tripping over you," Ellen said, extending her hand.

"Welcome," Angela said. She sat back down without shaking Ellen's hand.

"Alright, well, we'll see you later Angela! Come on Ellen, I want to show you the upstairs rooms," Maggie grabbed Ellen's arm and started pulling her to the gate.

"Goodbye, Ellen. Goodbye, Magnolia," Angela said without looking up from her flowers.

"My names Maggie!" Maggie said hotly, walking faster.

Once they closed the gate, Maggie leaned over and muttered, "As I'm sure you noticed, Angela is a bit... Strange. No one knows where she came from, or what happened to her. Mrs. Skeevy won't tell us a thing. We tried asking Angela about us, but she just looked lost, like she couldn't remember,"

"That's really weird," Ellen whispered.

"Yeah,"

They were silent for a moment, before Ellen smirked. "Magnolia?" She asked.

Maggie blushed. "Shut up," she said, giving Ellen a dirty look. Ellen just giggled. Maggie stuck her tongue out and ran ahead.

"Come on!" She called to Ellen, "I wanna show you the rest of the house!"

Ellen smiled and ran to catch up. She liked the green-eyed girl.
