He looked at the chat site once more even though he knew she wouldn't be messaging him back...she was too busy with her life now. He was just a senior in high school and she was a freshman in college- living the life.
He wasn't anything to her.....just a summer fling...
He thought she would be different. She was his hope and his light. Everything any guy would want in a girl....
"Maybe I should just give up on her." He thought.
"After all, I need to move on with my life and there's no point in waiting for someone who might not even remember my name."
He nodded as his thoughts of her consumed his mind.
Even though she was good to him and treated him better than anyone could, he knew he had to let go. What's the point of waiting for her?
So, he deleted his account. The only form of communication he had with her....
Time to move on. So, he pushed away from his desk, his computer, his safe haven. He decided it was time to walk out and go to a party, have pizza with his buds, or share a beer with a pretty lady.
As he walked to the door with a new sense of hope and direction, he smiled brightly. Ready for a new chapter in his life.
As he stepped outside, he ran into someone...
"Sorry, I wasn't-" She muttered and trailed off as she looked up at him. He just stared into her green eyes, not believing that she was here.
"I was just wondering where you lived...Do you know how hard it was to find you?" She said with a wide smile on her delicate face.
If this was his new chapter, then he was definitely looking forward to it.
