Roses are red
Violets are purple, not blue
Don't tell me you put them there
Tell me it's not true
Fern leaves are green
Daisies are white
I'm trying to help
Don't put up a fight
Marigolds are orange
Sunflowers are yellow
What is wrong?
Why are you so mellow?
The leaves are falling
The trees are dead
Keep blooming, flower
Get those horrible thoughts out of your head
The roses have wilted
And the violets are rotten
Don't think you're not worth it
You're never forgotten
You are always beautiful
No matter where you have been
You don't deserve any of the scars
That you put on your skin

Keep Blooming
PoetryThis poem is about my best friend named Samantha. She used to self harm. When she told me she was going to cut again, I wrote this a while back. She's happy now, and I'm glad.
