I watched his lips mutter my name... He seemed like he was sincere with his words. He meant every word
he said.

Our new teacher then interrupted my thoughts by introducing herself as Mrs.Lanser. She said we would have "fun" this year in her class,... Ya if you count exploding things, and singing your eyebrows off; this class was surely going to be fun.

I still glared at Nylan, as I said his name over and over in my head. It seemed to give off a tough vibe.

"Sarah!," Rori said in one of those stern but whispery voices.

"I need your help!"

"Already? We've only been in this class for five minutes what could you possibly need help with?"I responded

I've known Rori since I was 7, we've been best friends for 10 years and if I've figured out one thing about her it's that she's always curious and wondering about something.

Rori has wavy blonde hair that falls just below her shoulders. She always wears it in a pony tail though. Her cheeks have constellations of freckles sprawled on them. Her teeth aren't straight, but they aren't crooked. She is slightly shorter then me, but we often have fights about who is taller. And she is slim not as scrawny and skinny as I am but she is definitely not fat.

"Why do we even listen to people, why can't we just learn things on our own without teachers?" she asked.

"Really, it's our last year of high school... We should enjoy it and not be so stubborn." I replied.

"I know, I just hate being contained!" She stated

I laughed and started twirling a whisp of my long dirty brown hair around my index finger.

And then I started thinking, thinking about Rori and the thought of us having freedom. Thinking about what she said. Why do we have to be treated like we're young and immature but then we are trusted with things and expected to be responsible. And we don't get any respect. Why do we have to listen?

Maybe that's Rori's opinion, or maybe she has a good point. Maybe I, Sarah Collins, the shy, 'goody two shoes', the one friend who always questions bad choices and abides by the rules, also deep down in side desires to be free.
