The familiar annoying beeping sound filled the room and I groaned. "Luke, Turn that shit off." I grumbled.
I wasn't really a morning person as you can see.
"Why don't you? I'm very comfortable right now." He mumbled back.
And he's also not a morning person.
"I hate you, Hemmings." I stood up from my bunk, walking over to the silver alarm clock with the flashing green numbers. The numbers were almost mocking me before I pressed the button. The beeping stopped and Luke's snores could be heard.
"Lucas, get your ass up now. We have school." I flung a pillow at his head, earning a muffled groan from him. "Do we really have to go?" He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and stood up. "Sadly, yes." I rolled my eyes.
-
"Why must summer end so fast?" He whispered as we approached the blue painted double doors that are the entrance to hell. I just shrugged in response. The closer we were to getting on campus, the more I became nervous.
I gulped once we've finally were on campus. A bunch of popular diva girls passed us, looking at us up and down then giggling to themselves. I simply just flipped them off before Luke just sheepishly smiled at them and scolded me.
"The blonde guy is pretty cute." I heard one of the brunettes mutter as she walked past us. The girls giggled once again. I rolled my eyes for the second time today seeing as Luke kept his eyes on their bums for awhile.
"You're such a dog." I scoffed at him before his cheeks tinted a pink rosy color. "Wipe that drool of your chin and let's go try to meet some new people." I muttered and grabbed his hand, dragging him along with me.
-
We were at lunch, staring awkwardly at all these hormonal teenagers. "I think he wants to murder me." Luke mumbled to me and pointed to one of the football jocks sitting on the opposite table from us. He gulped as the jock made eye contact with him before looking away.
"Yes, Luke. He totally wants to bury you 6 feet underground- Stop being such a baby!" I narrowed my eyes at him before giggling. A fairly tall girl approached our table. She sat infront of us, smiling shyly.
She had long auburn hair that was pushed to one side on her right shoulder. She had hazel colored eyes that sparkled every now and then as she wore a female black muscle tee with denim skinny jeans and also topped it off with hipster glasses.
"Hi, sorry for interrupting anything." She apologized before we shook our heads and introduced ourselves.
"This is Lukey Poo." I pinched his cheeks and he rolled his eyes. "Wow, very mature Ivy." He stuck his tongue out at me and I crossed my eyes at him.
"I'm Amy. Amy Brooke." She warmly grinned at us and gave us a proper introduction.
Turns out that we all got along fine. Especially Lucas and Her. I wasn't jealous or anything. I just felt unsure. I don't know but I don't want to jump into conclusions.
Luke and I walked to my house after we've said our good-byes to Amy. We stopped infront of my doorstep, smiling like the idiots we are. "Do you want to do something tomorrow, Hemmings?" I asked him, I knew his answer would be 'yes' because well, we don't have much friends.
"Um, I can't. I have plans with Amy, Ivy. Sorry." He scratched the back of his neck. I froze just as I was going to unlock my door. "W-what? You're blowing me off for her?" I was shocked to say the least.
He shrugged before replying. "Well you could always hang out with Blake right?" He half smiled at me. I glared at him before unlocking the door and shutting it infront of his face.
