I drop down the final box into the moving truck, and wipe my head that's full of sweat. " Whew. That's the last box." I look back at the blue house knowing it's the last time I'll see it. My mom was waiting in the truck. My mom looks at my face and tells me.
" I know this is hard sweetie, but hey there's supposed to be a nice school where we are moving to in Texas." I don't say anything at all as I shrug.
" Well I was going to say let's get pizza on the way there." She tells me.
" Pizza cool let's get some." I say in a slightly better mood, and I smile once again. "But why do we have to move from New York to Texas mom?"
" I know it's rough sweetie but my new promotion is making me go there." She tells me.
" Well cant you tell them no, that you don't want to go?"
" Honey... money has been tight lately since your father died but with this promotion we won't have to worry about money for a while." She tells me softly. I put in my headphones turning music on and don't say anything for a couple of hours.
