Prologue:

Zayn’s POV

There I was. Sitting alone, again, just like always. Seperated from the other boys, not literally, but it might as well have been. I was being ignored, just like always.

Most people think Niall is the one ignored, but that’s not true. He get a ton of attention, between the the ‘#letniallsing (LNS)’, the ‘Niall’s Lovely Laugh (NLL)’, and the “Niall you’re beautiful!!” Oh, and don’t forget about ‘Horan Hugs’.

Harry… well, what can you say? He’s the curly, sensitive, and young one of the band. Nothing is wrong with him what-so-ever. He’s also almost always voted best for hair, looks, and singing.

Liam. Liam is the daddy, and the sweetest man you will ever meet. He’s sensitive, trustable, and loving.. just like a father. He makes sure we get where we need to go, and get there safely. He takes care of us.

Louis. Misunderstood in so many ways that only I have picked up on. He thinks no one notices the way he looks broken sometimes… I do. I always do. Would you like to know why I can always tell when he’s broken, sad, happy, stressed, pissed, exhausted? Because I love him.

Last but not least (hopefully), is me. I’m Zayn Malik the ‘deep, sensitive, sexy’ one. Of course people only see those characteristics in me. The only problem I have with that is that that isn’t the real me. The real Zayn, the real me, is outgoing, loving, caring, deeply in love (hence the romantic tweets), but still very much sexy. *insert cheesy wink*.

So, the boys were chatting, and mucking around while I sat here. They don’t think I notice when they do this, but I do.

It hurts. It hurts me to know I’ll never be ‘one of them’.

One thing that hurts the most is that, as I steal glances at Louis, he’ll never notice, much less care.
