"Long ago there was a civilization of, well I guess you say, Moon People. So ancient, no one even knows their name. The Moon People always had one protector, The Ender. The Ender got their powers from a flame, not of this world. 'The flame' gave the receiver powers such as flying, pyrokinetic abilities, super-human strength, and fire resistant skin. The Moon People chose 'The Ender' by putting eligible competitors through a series of test. The competitor who passes all the test must be thrown into 'the flame'. (I know it sounds painful, but it really isn't) That competitor then becomes, The Ender.

The Moon people have died out since then, vanished, haven't been heard from for centuries. Some scientist believe that 'the flame' is still up there, but that theory has obviously been dismissed. Ash Williams, you are 'The Ender'

Earlier that week

Today at school they had just announced the date my school's prom. I wasn't planning to bring a date. I was just planning to sit in the corner and snack. When I got home I went to tell my Mom about the prom. "Hey, the school's just announced the date for the prom this year!" I yelled when I busted through the door. "Great when is it?" My mom replied. "This Saturday," I answered. My mom nodded and went back to whatever she was doing. My Grandma who was sitting couch, get's really excited about things like this. "Oooooooo I wonder which cute guy is gonna ask you out." I kinda froze when she asked that question, there's something I haven't told too many people, I'm Pansexual. Now for those of you who aren't familiar with that term...no, I do not have sex with pans. It means you have a sexual attraction to people all over the gender spectrum (if that's still confusing, just look it up.) Anyway, I've always had a crush on my best friend, 'T'. Now I know that's a weird name. I've always liked him, even before I knew he was transgender, and when I found he was that's when I realized I was Pansexual. 'T' stands for Tyra, but everyone just calls him 'T'. I've also recently realized that I don't...well... I...um...I don't know, I'm still pretty confused, but ever since I was around eleven or twelve; I've been feeling less...like a girl. Back then I didn't know what gender was exactly, but me being fourteen now; I have a pretty good understanding of what it is. I'm still debating on what my gender is. As of now, I'm probably genderfluid.

But enough on that... back to my Grandma's comment. I just look at her and I say. "Yeah, maybe." I sigh and walk off to my room.

The day of the dance came. I asked my Mom if I could wear something other than a dress and of course, she said no. My parents are super religious and homophobic AND transphobic, so I knew the answer to that question before I even asked. There was no way I was showing up in a dress to the dance, so at school today I brought a backpack filled with the clothes I wanted to wear. A black and white flannel with a black polo, skinny genes, a red beany, and pair of black converse. I gave it to T and he took it home with him. Luckily, his older sister was taking him and I to the dance. T's family was very understanding of my situation and were happy to help.

I got in the car, wearing a VERY pink lace dress and a pair of sandals. I stared out the window the whole ride over. When we got to T's, I was very nervous walking in. I've never worn a dress in front of T before. All my mom did was smile, say "hello", then she left. She didn't know about T being trans, she just thought he was a girl that dressed like a boy. "Oh.My.God. Ash, I can't believe your mom made you wear that." T said. "Wear's the backpack?" I quickly asked, I was too ready to get out of that dress. "It's upstaris Ash." T's mom said. After I changed me and T took a couple of pictures and we were soon on our way to the dance.

The dance started out as any normal dance, people going wild on the dance floor, some crying out in the halls, and the people eating everything off the food table. Me and T were just sitting, kinda by the corner, drinking punch and we each had to many slices of pizza on our plates. Sooner or later, a slow song came on, I didn't know the name of it, but it sounded pretty nice. Several people were going onto the dance floor with their date trailing behind them. The song was about a minute in when T sat down his plate and asked me out onto the dance floor. It took me a second to process what he said. After I did, I took his hand and he lead me out onto the dance floor. I took us a second to get in the 'proper slow dance position', but soon we were dancing just like everyone else. "Hey, um...I hope this isn't weird or anything." T said nervously. "No, no,no. It's fine." I said, hoping he wouldn't let go. The song was almost over when, suddenly and out of no where, T kissed me. The kiss lasted about ten seconds, but during those ten seconds I saw flash of a camera. At first I didn't think much of it at first, but I would soon regret not saying anything.

When the song was over me and T...well...He didn't saying and I didn't say anything. We just looked at eachother. We sat down a few minuets later, still not saying a word. "I hope you liked that." T said. "I did." I say softly. "Ash, would you....um...l-like to...um...wouldyouliketobemygirlfriend?" At first I couldn't tell what he had said, but already knowing the question I answered with a simple, "Yes."

After the dance I went back to T's for a sleepover (NO WE DID NOT DO THE 'THING', WE'RE ONLY FOURTEEN) All we did was talk about how gender roles suck and how some movies would be better if they changed one thing. We did cuddle up and watch Les Miserables, and of course we both ending up crying. The time was around 3:30am when we both fell asleep, in eachothers embrace.

When I woke up I had got a text from my mom that read:' GET YOUR ASS HOME NOW! YOU HAVE A SHITLOAD OF EXPALING TO DO.'

I didn't move, I knew exactly what she was talking about. I woke T up and told him a had to go, I also told his parents too, they completly understood and told me to come over if I needed to. I walked home, which took about thirty minuets. When I got home I carefully opened the door and I walked into my room. My mom was standing right in the middle of my room, completly enraged. "What the hell have you done." She held out her phone and on my schools facebook page, the picture of me and T kissing stared at me right in the face.
