Lauren's POV:

Today is the day. The day we leave the letter. I'm really happy, I mean my sister is really alive! I couldn't sleep all night due to excitement... but I also couldn't help feel worried. All these different questions were circling though my head.

What if this really isn't Maddie? What if my twin sister is actually dead? Are my family and I getting our hopes up for nothing?

All my thinking gets interrupted by my sisters. All barging into the room I share with Lisa and Dani.

"It's quarter till noon. You ready Laur?" Asks Katherine as they all come in with the letter we wrote for Maddie.

"As ready as I'll ever be" I say standing up and all six of us go down stairs to the front door where the rest of the family is.

"Are we seriously all going to wait near the front door? You think Maddie will even come if we just wait around for her?" Asks Lisa getting everyone's attention.

"Lisa has a point, If she was ready to meet us she would've done it already. Maybe there's a reason she left the letter instead of just showing up or something" Says Michael, the oldest sibling.

"I agree, she would feel overwhelmed with such a big family. I say only a couple people wait for her" says mom coming up with a solution. "Any volunteers?"

We all quickly rise our hands.

"Okay that was a dumb question" says mom with a slight smile. "Any nominees?" Says mom again.

"I say Lauren should definitely be one" says Dani. I turn and smile at her.

"I think everyone agrees with that" says Christina putting a reassuring hand on my shoulder.

"Any other nominees?" Asks mom again.

"I say Christina. She is the birthday twin after all. And she was the one who found the letter in the first place" says Amy.

Mom smiles and says "I think that's a great idea. Everyone in favor?" She asks and gets nods and positive answers from the rest of the family.

"I nominate Dani" I say out loud. Dani smiles and comes to hug me.

"I would love to sugar" she says in my ear. I grin thankful for my little sister.

"Well I think that's a decent amount of nominees. We don't want to overwhelm her" says dad this time.

"Where is the letter?" I ask to no one in particular.

"I have it" says Christian, my little brother, holding up the envelope "Are you going to leave it?" He asks as he gives it to me.

"Not exactly" I say with a small smile appearing on my face as I play with the envelope and think about what I'm going to say "I think you two should leave it" I says walking towards mom and dad. "She is your daughter after all" I say handing the letter over to them.

They smile in appreciation and turn to look at each other. With smiles on their faces of course. They open the front door, leave the letter safely on the doormat. Dad closes the door holding mom close the entire time. They both turn to look at us and smile.

"Well then I guess we wait" I say breaking the silence.

"Okay. Everyone who is not nominated will wait in the living room so... let's go" says dad motioning for everyone to leave the front door and once everyone's gone there is only us three in front of the door.

"Why do I feel nervous?" I ask to my sisters as I stare at the front door closely.

"It's okay Laur, we all do" says Dani.
