So the night after we transported Harry to the burrow and George got his ear cursed off no one really wanted to leave George alone, but by the same token, we were all really tired. I convinced Molly to go to bed after promising her a million times that I wouldn't move until someone else came to watch him. Honestly, it was kinda weird watching him sleep, but it's not like I had a choice. Of course, he wasn't in his usual room he shared with Fred, no, he was in one of the many spare rooms that the burrow had just so he didn't do anything that might upset Fred PLUS it would just be plain creepy to watch them BOTH sleep. So I sat there, holding his hand as Molly had insisted I do and, with the other hand flipped through the most recent issue of witch weekly. Of course Molly had brewed one seriously strong potion before she went to bed to stop him from feeling the pain. I felt a slight pressure on the hand holding his a looked down to see a weak smile on his face. "Hey" He said weakly "How long have I been out?" He asked. I put down the magazine and shrugged and looked at the clock "About 4 hours" I replied. He nodded and looked around the room, puzzled. "It's one of the spare rooms" I said, anticipating his question "No one really wanted to watch you AND Fred sleep, it would just be creepy" I said. He started laughing weakly then stopped "You mean we're all alone in a room somewhere in the deep confines of my house?" He said with a cheeky smile. "Yeah, I guess so" I said, anticipating the fact that something was about to happen. George smiled that devious smile of his and leaned over and kissed me. And, lit by nothing but the fire, the moment seemed perfect. And it was. For all of 2 minutes. The door opened and I heard suppressed laughter. George pulled back "Oh shut it Fredie, we both know you're just jealous" Said George turning towards the door with a smile. I turned around and saw the door close as he left. I sighed, it had been nice, just once, to get the jokester. I went to stand up and get someone to replace me (I was really tired) but George was still holding my hand, and it appeared, wasn't going to let go. I frowned at him and he smiled his jokester smile "Don't you dare leave me here" He said "We have hours until dawn" He said suggestively, sitting up. I just grinned and sat back down. Maybe I should just give in... "Just this once." I murmured as I sat on the bed next to George.
