Ok everyone just so you know I don't really ship Clarvel, I ship Clato, but I had just had a random idea to do this. :)
It was the 74th Hunger Games: Training, pre-arena. Different sections of the room were for different areas of the training- knives, bow and arrows, fire-starting and other survival tactics. Clove and Cato, from District 2, were standing in the middle of the open room, watching the other tributes practice. ‘Hey Cato, do you wanna train with knives? i can show you some new skills of mine’, Clove said to Cato, and she winked. Cato followed Clove to the knives, and watched her eagerly as she threw them, one by one, straight into the hearts of each dummy.
‘So what do you think of that Marvel guy?’ asked Clove, looking over to where Marvel was tying knots with the other District 2 tribute, Glimmer. ‘D’ya think he’d be any good as a Career?’
‘He’d be a good ally to have, but he’s nothing on me of course’ Cato winked, and looked back at Clove, who was once again focusing on the knives. ‘Sure... he’ll be one of the Careers with us, right?’ she asked, with a determined look. ‘We have to have Marvel.’ Cato laughed, and looked over to Marvel again. ‘Just look at him baby, there ain’t nothing special about him! But sure if thats what you want.. What about the girl with him? Glimmer, was it?’ He said, wrapping his arms around Clove’s waist and whispering in her ear.
‘She seems like a good ally- feisty! Looks like we’ve got the Careers sorted, then’
‘Perfect.’
‘I’m gonna go to a different section. You gonna be okay without me? You can go ask District 1 to be allies okay?’ Cato said to Clove, kissed her goodbye, then walked off to the climbing section.
Clove took a look at the other tributes around the room. One girl in District 5-she didn’t know her name- was pale, with vibrant red hair. In Clove’s opinion, she looked a bit like a fox, and seemed to act like one too-she was extremely fast and sly. Then there was the boy and girl from District 5- Thresh and Rue. They both had dark skin. Rue was very small, looked about 12 years old and Clove had no idea how she would survive against the others when they were in the Arena. Then there was Thresh- he seemed extremely strong, and if Clove wasn’t already someone the other tributes were afraid of, she wouldn’t want to get on the bad side of him. Clove’s eyes swiveled round the rest of the room, the other sections, the other tributes. Then they stopped suddenly. She had seen them around before, watched their tape of the Reaping, the boy and the girl from District 12 who she couldn't quit figure out. It was quite obvious that the girl, Katniss, was a fighter at heart. Clove could only imagine what she had been through, what she had had to do to keep her family alive in the poorest District of Panem.
