It took them another thirty minutes para ayusin ang listahan ng mga ibi-bid. Syempre nakalista na kung mga babae yung ibi-bid, may pagka-pervert talaga tong si Sir Jules.

Chuck went to Ms. Claire to explain that that wasn't part of the program originally but Sir Jules asked for a slot in the program. Di naman nya alam na prostitution pala ang balak gawin ni Sir Jules. Gusto palang maging bugaw, sana nagresign na!

"Okay ladies. This is it." Nagtilian ang mga girls as Sir Jules look down on his list habang nasa-stage sya.

Ngumiti sya sa crowd then says, "Please welcome your beach boys!"

Tumutugtog ang chorus ng "Young Blood" ng 5 Seconds of Summer habang nag-aakyatan ang mga binata sa stage, at nagtilian ulit ang girls at mga bakla. Si Jem halos maghurumentado nung umakyat sa stage yung batang taga-IT at napailing na lang kami ni Cherrie.

Pero muntik na akong malaglag sa upuan ko nang umakyat sa stage si Chuck – he's beach boy no. 10.

Hinawakan ni Jem ang kamay ko at binulungan ako, "Bakla, relax lang. Mukha kang mamamatay tao sa itsura mo."

"Okay, bidding starts at one hundred pesos" Sir Jules says over the microphone.

Nagsimula na ang bidding pero parang wala akong marinig, parang wala akong magawa kundi tingnan lang sya as he seems to look at everyone but me.

Ano ba to, payback dahil hindi ko sya sinunod kanina? May ganun?

Ano gantihan ba ito?

"Hoy, hindi naman sya iuuwi no. Isang sayaw lang naman so wag kang panikera." Sabi sa akin ni Cherrie habang tinatawag na ang iba pang ipina-pa-bid na mga lalaki.

Ang dilemma ko kasi hindi naman ako pwedeng makipaglabanan ng bid diba? Pero kung tutuusin ano naman ngayon? E kung gusto ko mag-bid diba?

Then I look at Ms. Claire as she laughs at the bidding war ng dalawang girls sa lalaking nasa harapan. I feel guilt again kasi syempre pag mag-bid ako malalaman nyang gusto ko si Chuck. How would she feel? And in front of everyone here who knows their history?

I slump in my chair.

Well, wala na tayong magagawa. In one ear, out the other na lang.

Nanlamig ang kamay ko nang biglang nagsalita si Sir Jules, "Okay. Now we're almost at the end, this is it ladies, the crème dela crème. Ang pantasya ng office – bukod sa akin." Some girls yell at mga nagtayuan pa yung iba.

Oh man. Kill me now.

Sir Jules says, "Open up your wallets for No. 10 – Mr. Charles Santos."

Nagtilian na naman sila, mga hitad.

Anak ng pucha naman oh.

Hindi pa nakakapagsalita si Sir Jules nagstart nang mag-bid ang mga babae and I have no choice but to sit there and sulk.

Nag-busy-busyhan na lang ako sa cellphone ko.

"Wow. Nasa two thousand na si Sir Chuck." Sabi ni Cherrie.

Umirap lang ako at iniiwasang tumingin sa stage.

Nagsalita si Sir Jules, "Okay, two thousand five hundred for Jeremy."

Napalingon ako kay Jem na huling huli kong nakataas ang kamay, ngumiti lang sya sa akin at may biglang sumigaw ng two thousand six hundred.

I sigh and roll my eyes.

Biglang nag-beep ang cellphone ko and I see a message from Ms. Claire: "Bid for Chuck."

I look over at her and she just gives me a curt nod.

Nagbi-bid pa rin sila nang lumunok ako at tumingin sa stage. It looks like ayaw talaga tong gawin ni Chuck but either ginagawa nya for the charity or para lang parusahan ako.

Nasa three thousand na ang bid, and I look back kay Ms. Claire who's smiling at the crowd. Para hindi nila mahalata na sya yung nagpapabid?

Lumunok ulit ako at nag-abang ng opening, nang marinig ko ang matinis na boses ni May na nagbi-bid ng four thousand, parang knee jerk reaction napa-angat ang kamay ko, "Five thousand!"

Nagtinginan ang mga tao sa akin at nag-tilian, may mga tumawa pero seryoso akong nakatingin kay Chuck. He looks surprised then he gives me a small smile.

"Six thousand!" Sagot ni May.

Napalingon ako sa pwesto nya and I give her a smile as I raise my hand, "Seven thousand."

She smirks at me and raises her hand while standing up, "Eight thousand."

Tumayo na rin ako, "Ten thousand."

Buti na lang hindi ko pera to.

Teka, may limit ba ako? Keber na. Kailangan mapasa-akin sya.

She looks around sa mga friends nya at lahat sila parang, "bahala ka sa buhay mo."

"Ten thousand? Going once?" Sabi ni Sir Jules.

Nakatayo pa rin ako at nakatitig kay May.

"Going twice?" Sabi ni Sir Jules.

Umirap si May at naupo. I grin.

"Sold!!!"

Nagstart na ang tugtog at naglapitan na ang guys sa mga respective girls na nanalo sa bidding.

Paglingon ko sa pwesto ni Ms. Claire she's nowhere to be found, so tumingin lang ako sa stage and saw Chuck walking towards me with a grin on his face.

Nang nasa harap ko na sya he just says, "Hi."

Huminga ako ng malalim and basked in the feeling na I can look at him how I wanted to look at him in front of everyone.

I smile back, "Hi."

He offers his hand, "Shall we?"

I put my hand in his and he guides me towards the dance floor kung nasaan nandun na rin ang mga couples.

Nararamdaman ko ang kuryente where we're connected as he puts my hand over his shoulders. He puts his hands on my hips and pulls me close. I sigh and feel content as we sway to the music.

We don't talk, sway to the music and just listen to the lyrics.

It would be so easy to just stand on my tip toes and give him a kiss but I know I can't do that here.
