Chapter 1
When I woke up the first thing I saw was the sun. It was shining through my window and onto my face blinding me. It was unusual to have sun in Ireland especially in autumn. I yarned and winced as wiped the sleep out of my eyes. I sat up in my bed and checked my clock it was 12:17 saturday mourning . I had an hour and a bit to get ready for Liberties birthday.
I slipped on my slippers and sleeply I walked down the stairs. 'Mourning' said my mam as I zombie walked into the kitchen. 'Look London' cried Rose who was sitting at the table munching toast. She was twisted round in the chair facing me. Her earthy eyes fixed on my bright green ones. 'Let's see' I said as I sat down at the table. She passed her drawing over to me I looked at her scribbly drawing of a tree and flowers she was only 5 it was a good drawing for her age. 'Do you like it' she asked as my mam placed a plate of toast and a glass of apple juice in front of me. 'Thanks mam' I said I turned to Rose 'yeah it's a great drawing like the Mona Lisa' I answered 'Really I learned about that in a book' she asked looking at it lovingly 'yep' I said taking a gulp of my apple juice.
She sat there drawing a few butterflies on the drawing while I ate my toast. 'Do you want to help me colour it in' Rose asked as I left the table. 'She can't' my mam answered for me 'She has to get ready to go to the carnival with Liberty. How old is she now' '15 the same as me' I told my mam. 'Go on upstairs and get ready' said my mam 'ok' I answered and hurried upstairs
When I walked into my room my cat Midnight was on my bed snoozing in the sun rays her tall, slim body was stretched out.
I went over to her and stroked her smooth dark grey fur. She lifted her head and slowly opened her eyes revealing her dazzling deep blue eyes. She meowed and slowly curled up in a ball to continue her cat nap. I gently got up of my bed and took of my pyjamas and wrapped my pink fluffy towel round me and made my way to the bath room.
It felt good to have water falling down on me cleansing me. It felt like warm rain. I scrubbed my hair with shampoo and my body with soap. After rinsing I turned off the shower and dried myself. It was easy to brush my hair after blow-drying I had long silky brown hair. I took my tooth-brush out of the holder and blobbed tooth-paste on it and began to brush my teeth.
Suddenly there was a loud bang on the bathroom door. 'London hurry up I need to pee' cried Rose. I grabbed my damp towel and wrapped it around me. I unlocked the door and before I had time to touch the handle the burst open nearly knocking me of my balance. 'Sorry' said Rose as she ran in. 'just next time warn me before you burst in' I said as she began to pull up her dress not even waiting for me to leave the room but then again she was only 5.
When I entered my room Midnight wasn't there. I wondered how she got out the windows and door was shut. I opened my wardrobe and took out purple skinny jeans and a lose t-shirt with a picture of a kitten with purple fur and bat wings with a green and purple poka-doted background and green converse.
I put on my clothes and put on black mascara and eyeliner and bright pink lipstick. I put a bow in my hair and ran my fingers through my fringe. I grabbed my purse and checked how much I had €50 and a few euro coins.
I drenched myself in perfume and picked up lieberties birthday presant a book voucher for her favourite book shop. It was a small shop at the end of the street. leiberty and I were good friends with the owner edward he was the only employee and he was really nice but a lot of guys in our class made fun of edward because he was a super book nerd.
I closed my door behind me as i left my room and hurried down the stairs. I open the front door and called goodbye to mam and rose.' Wait' cried rose as she dashed threw the hall 'I want a hug' she said as she ran into me in an open embrace. my mam came out of the kitchen and handed me my phone 'you nearly forgot it' my mam said with a smile. 'thanks mam love you' I replied as i walked out the door. mam and rose waved and closed the door.
I let out a happy sigh and began to walk but I had a horrable nagging feeling inside me that told me to go home now or somthing really bad is going to happen really
