Unheard

Chapter 1

I hate looking in the mirror, I hate seeing that awful reflection of myself that I have come to hate. Sometimes I just wonder why I exist; my life is a mess, I can't tie my hair properly...God! I can't even wear matching clothing.
"Karine!" my mum yells, distracting me from my thoughts. I exhale heavily.
"Coming mum!"
Today is the first day of second year which clearly means the beginning of hell for me.
"Hurry up, Maddy is waiting"
I run downstairs to meet my  best friend. Maddy has always been the one with the perfect everything; and me on the other hand, lets just say I'm below average.
"Hey bes" I kiss her on the cheek.
"Hey you" she reciprocates and almost immediately wears a repulsed look.
"And pls what the hell are you wearing? She asks. "This is the first day of the school year, you should look hot and not like a grandma" She shivers in disgust.
"Oh please Maddy, stop being so dramatic, I look cute and besides I love comfy clothing and this is very comfy" I say hopefully, anticipating her approval which she doesn't give but rather just stares monotonously. "Okay now can we go and get this day over with?"

It is a twenty minutes drive to our school and every time, Maddy and I always enjoy jamming to Maleek Berry's hit songs. We pull over and I begin to stare at the school, hoping I could be whisked away to somewhere different.
"Hey Karine, you sure you wanna do this?" I raise a confusing brow at her.
"Oh come on, you know what I mean"
"Oh! yea sure, I'm fine" I answer deceitfully.
I managed to make it through the crowdy hallway while Maddy just gracefully waltzed through it. In no less than a minute that we entered the classroom, the whispering had already begun. At first, I thought they were talking about us but then I realized it was something behind us. I just ignored it. Soon it was time for the first period from hell;
Biology! Biology class has always been boring but advanced Biology was worse. I mean how could something about a  human be so boring to listen to,we were studying the human anatomy something about the human structure blah blah blah and other shits like that,at least that's what she said.

The rest of my classes before lunch  went by like a blur. I got to the cafeteria before maddy den i sat at my usually isolated spot when i saw maddy's curly thick black hair i gotta say maddy looks reli hot in her black body con gown,demin blue jacket and puma sneakers, she just manages to pull of anything she wears all the time unlike me i cant even match cloths i waved her to come over
"hey bes" I said smiling at her.
"hey  how was classes? She asked .i gave her a u know look.
"dont worry baby we just a year it will be over before u know it" i sighed one more year of torture i thought to myself.
lunch break was over, then i forced myself to walk to my locker, while maddy straddled off faster than me  and then i saw him , at first i wasn't sure if it was him so i ignored it what will he be doing here anyways i finally reached my locker  when someone slammed my locker shut ...Wat the bu..I froze ......No no no no....No he cant be him wat his he doing here.
