After slipping my swim suit underneath my clothes, fixing my hair up into a snug pony-tail, and deciding if I should wear makeup or not; which I didn't. I went onto my deck, looked across the courtyard only to see Oliver, sitting on his deck, reading. I whistled as loud as I could, and he looked around for the source of the noise, and he spotted me. I waved, we somehow deciphered each other’s thoughts, and we met in the middle of the courtyard where the pool is, and agreed to go in.
"I feel like I should push you in." I said, nudging him, and we both laughed.
"You do that, and I’ll never talk to you again!" he said back, playfully.
"Fine." I said, crossing my arms, but suddenly I fell his hand on my shoulders, and he shoved me in the water. I resurfaced, gasping for air as I was laughing, "Oliver!" I screamed.
"You never said I couldn't push you." He said while laughing.
"I thought it was implied." I said, smiling, and I splashed him. He jumped in, making a bigger splash, so shielded my eyes with my hands.
He took my wrists, and moved my hands away form my face slowly, my eyes opened to see his light eyes staring back at me and I couldn't help but smile, “I love it when you say my name.” He whispered in his beautiful accent. Charming.
Since it was an infinity pool, you an swim to the end of the pool, and there was no edge, just straight down to the beach. I stood there for a bit, and just looked at suns reflection on the morning water. "What would you do if there was a tsunami right now?" I asked, looking over at Oliver.
He fixed his hair and answered, "Run!"
"Oh thanks, just leave me behind! You're so sweet." I said sarcastically
"Well, by you just standing on the beach, you'd stop the tsunami." he said playfully, and a nudged him.
"Oh right! Forgot, good thinking." I said, shaking my head. I moved closer to him, and our arms were touching, but no one complained.
"What would you do if an iguana started running after you?" He asked.
"I'd jump into the water. Can they swim?"
"Yes, why yes they can."
"Oh, haha. Then never mind! I'd put you between the iguana and I then." I said, laughing.
"How do you think that's going to work out?" he asked.
"Well, let me enlighten you. See this?" I held out my hand in a fist, "This is an Iguana." I moved behind Oliver and climbed on his back and still held my fist in front of him, he laughed, "And now, the Iguana cant get to me, because some British guy is in the way." we both laughed.
"Well would some Canadian guy do this?" I shoved me off his back and turned to me, wrapped his arms around my waist, and mine went around his neck, we were close, and started kissing. Again.
Once we stopped, we looked at each other and smiled, “No, I’m pretty sure some Canadian guy wouldn’t do that.”
Him and I were moving so fast together, Luke and I's relationship seemed like it was at a crippled turtles pace. Luke and I weren't together, but sometimes it felt like it. We stared at the horizon again; and I started thinking about the black mail I was supposed to be receiving from Steve. I worried as I over thought the possibilities of what they could be, since he doesn’t want any money. A few more minutes were spent in the pool until his parents called for him, and we went our separate ways for awhile. I went back to my room, opening the door to my family sitting in Steve and I’s couches, looking at me.
“Hello!” I finally said out.
“Were you swimming?” My dad asked.
“Yes, and? What’s so bad about that?” I growled, setting down my bag.
“Want to get ready for breakfast or what not?” My mum asked. This atmosphere was very odd. Steve smiled at me; it was an evil smile as well. I put a dress over top of what i was wearing and we were off. Steve and I walked in front of our parents, as we had separate conversations.
“So last night. With your little boyfriend.” Steve reminded me, I looked at him and glared.
“What about it.”
“Do you want me to tell mum?”
“I would rather you not.”
“Then you gotta’ embarrass yourself tonight at the bar.” He said laughing.
That’s what I was worried about? Really? I do that daily as it is, but he doesn’t know that… So we shook on the deal.
