Ezra's POV

"I would rather die than turn." I told Vader when he mentioned the Prophecy.

"Than your sister will suffer the fate you would otherwise have." Vader mentioned.

That got me to shut up. Sarah was more dangerous on the Dark Side than possibly Vader, if that is even believable. She had the capability of killing us all in her sleep.

I didn't want to admit it, but it was either me or Sarah.

In an irritated tone, I answered, "Fine."

Later...........

I was tortured to no end. Dunking my head into freezing water every time I was out of line, attempting to brainwash me into thinking Vader was my master, and even beating me up just for the heck of it. It was all getting to my nerves. All of this because of some stupid Prophecy that has a small chance of it not being about Sarah and me?!

Suddenly, I felt cold, colder than my face felt in the freezing water I was just dunked into. I wasn't able to see; everything became a hazy red. I resisted it as hard as I could, but I knew what this meant.

They broke me.

I had turned.

A voice inside of my head seemed to get louder than ever. I turn towards the noise to see black mist coming to me from the red surroundings.

It started to morph into a person, a person I recognized from before.

My evil self.

He looked exactly the same as the Lothwolf vision was. He gave an evil grin and grabbed my head.

I felt like I was getting shocked. I screamed once more, and fell into a world of darkness, knowing that I had failed the rebellion.

I had failed to protect Sarah.

I failed to stop the Prophecy.

Sarah's POV

"For all we know," Hera explained to the rebel fleet, "Ezra is still fighting. We need to get him back, asap. Sabine has already tracked his location, so we are up in 20. Meeting dismissed."

All of the other rebels left to their stations or ships. I walked over to Hera and asked her, "Are you sure about bringing all the rebels along after the last attack? Maybe I could--"

"Sarah," Hera explained, "they all decided that they would go to rescue Ezra. They want to save him as much as you do." She patted my shoulder and left to the Ghost. I sulked and followed her.

I past Zeb on my way up to the bedroom areas, where he was doing a check on all of the supplies. He noticed that I felt down and said, "Don't worry. I'm sure Ezra's okay."

That made me feel a little bit better. But, I still couldn't shake the feeling that Ezra might be dead. He was either dead or evil, and neither of them sound good enough to give me a hint of relief that he was actually okay.

Well, off we go.

A small band of rebels, including Zeb and Hera, and I ran down the main prison corridors, stormtroopers chasing us. Zeb asked into his communicator, "Sabine, which one is it?"

Sabine responded, "It should be cell 183. Just past your next door."

The door she was referring to was still 50 yards away. So, I stayed in the back and used my lightsaber to deflect the lasers coming for us.

Because my cuffs were off, I was able to push the stormtroopers a couple yards back, which slowly created a huge gap between us and them.

Finally, we made it to the door. As soon as I past it, Zeb shut the door, and Hera shot the activation system so the bucketheads couldn't get through.

The door was right in front of us. It took a little while for Chopper to open the door, but eventually, he did.

I bolted in. I stopped.

Nobody was in here.

Everyone joined in. "Where is he?" one of the pilots asked.

"He's not in there?" Sabine asked through my communicator.

"No sign of him." I responded. I realized that nobody was watching the door, so I ran out to make sure nobody was coming.

My crack/scar suddenly burned. I turned to see if any stormtroopers or Sith Lords were around to make my crack hurt.

A swinging blade of red caught my attention real quick. I ducked and got my lightsaber out to defend myself.

What I saw left me frozen as a statue.

Ezra.

He closed the prison door and used his lightsaber to fry the control panel.

He was completely different. His usual blueberry hair had a tint of black to it, he had scars all over face, and his usually orange clothes were traded in for a black uniform.

The biggest changes were his lightsaber, which was now red, and his eyes, which were crimson red. It honestly scared me. I had never seen him like this.

"Ezra?" I asked.

He just smirked and swung his lightsaber at me. I blocked it and used the Force to levitate him and freeze him in place.

"Ezra, snap out of it! This isn't you."

He cackled. "You want Ezra? He's dead. I have taken over, and he isn't coming back."

I sensed someone behind me. I turned to see Vader swinging his lightsaber at my face. I had to let go of Ezra so I could block Vader's swing.

I leaped past both of them and pretty much ran for my life. I didn't know what to do; my brother was evil now, and the most dangerous Sith Lord was teamed up with him, trying to kill me.

Great. Just what I needed...

Yes, I am trying to update more to finish this book. It is a whole lot longer than my others, and I feel like I am stretching this out a little bit too much. So, more updates. May not be longer, but they will come faster.
