Sorry it took so long it's just that I started work and I had a total whopping of 4 days off last month (3 of which I spent at the dentist) and my mom is knocked up again.(just great...rolls eyes) My great aunt and uncle came up from Alabama and I moved in with my aunt...who has no ac and it's 100 outside. I got around 90+ hours of work this month and I'm exhausted...I went to bed at 5:30 in the morning twice last week and while moving 2 houses over to my aunts I broke my ceramic confirmation and communion cross that my grandma got me :'(...ohh and my pap is stalking me >.
Here's a time line to help recap:
Chapter 23
-Henry thinking in waiting room night of accident
-Will when Alex got a room- they get "sink showers"
-Henry *fast forward* to morning after the accident
-Henry a few days later when Alex wakes up
Chapter 24
-*rewind* Grace the night after the accident...they went to bed and then she woke up and her emotions caught up with her...then they go to take Henry something to eat and check on Alex.

Henry's POV
"Hmmmm" Alex hummed as I raked my fingers soothingly through his hair. His voice was back to normal and he said he was feeling a little better. Although I'm sure he's lying. I know he feels like crap but he's being strong for me.
He pulled me over from my spot on the bed beside him and kissed me. He whispered "one week and I'm all yours. I can't wait to get out of here." I smiled, pecked his lips again, and then said "I can't wait for us to get out of here either." Alex snorted and glared at me. I raised my hands up in surrender and shrieked "what?" he poked me and I squeaked "YOU get to get out of here whenever YOU want because YOU'RE not strapped to the bed and in a hundred casts...so YOU can take YOUR butt home whenever YOU feel like it..."
I was in shock "iii...uuumm...ahhh...eehhh"
"hehe....heheheh....hahahaha." He. Was. Laughing. At. Me. I glared at him but soon I started laughing too. "hahaha...ohhhh"
Alex stopped laughing and he looked like he was in pain. He was gasping for breath and his face was scrunched. I didn't know what to do so I went to grab the nurse button but Alex stopped me by saying "no, no I'm fine. It was just cramps. I'm okay, I promise. I'll be okay"
-Will
Things were going back to somewhat normal between me and Grace. When ever we were in awkward situations we joked around and things were very awkward between us after the morning she...well more or less attacked me out of nowhere. It's been about a week since then and we were going to check on Henry and Alex.
After we got out of the car we went into the hospital and went up to his room. We knocked on the door and opened it. Henry was talking to Alex.
Grace went over and I handed Henry the food she had made for him; a sandwich, a bag of chips, an energy bar, and a Gatorade in a lunch box. Then Grace sat on the end of the bed and I flopped down on the only chair there was in this room. Henry was already in the small hospital bed with Alex.
Alex smiled and said "hey guys." Grace and I greeted them in return and then Grace sat there looking uncomfortable like she wanted to hug Alex but didn't want to cause him unnecessary pain. Alex could see her debating so he said "ohhh, come on Grace. I'm not as breakable as you think. It's not that bad... really. Come here." He slowly sat up and while doing so he looked like he was trying not to wince. Grace still looked unsure but hugged him none the less. Then Henry looked in Alex's eyes and it looked like they were having a private conversation through there mind. Henry helped him lay down and then he gave him a quick kiss. I felt like an intruder in their own little world....one that I hope to have with Grace one day. Our relationship is just blossoming and we still have a lot to learn and go through. I just hope that nothing bad like this happens to us or if it does that we get through it. I would never want to lose Grace to some terrible accident or at all for that matter....
~One week later~
The nurse pushed the wheelchair that contained Alex. We walked beside them and when we got to the car I opened the door. Henry and I helped Alex get in the back seat and then we stuffed the wheelchair in the trunk. Grace sat upfront with me and Henry sat in the back with Alex.
I drove to Alex's apartment with some directions from Henry. When we arrived, Henry and I helped Alex to his apartment and then we sat him beside the couch. We were lucky that there was an elevator and a ramp into the building.
After dropping them off Grace and I left because Henry wanted some quiet time. The hospital was over-crowded and busy, and therefore noisy. I also wanted to get Grace to relax because I knew she was still a little wound up even if she wasn't showing it.
Okay, now listen to the music!!!
-Grace
My right leg was bouncing up and down and I was unconsciously biting my lip. Will was driving to God knows where because he "refused to tell me and waste the surprise."
We were traveling through a heavily forested area heading near the coast. I could only think of a few places we could be going but I'm guessing it's to the beach. I squeezed Will's hand and then brought it to my face and kissed it. He smiled at me and I smiled back at him...

Before Grace had awakened I snuck out and stashed everything. Now all I had to do was set it up. As we stumbled across the sand I stole a quick kiss from Grace. I led her to the secluded part of the beach and down a slight hill. At the bottom of the slant there was a light house on top of a pile of boulders. We traveled to the bottom and at the bottom some of the rocks fell into a formation like a cave except the pier of the lighthouse acted as the cavern's roof. Grace used to love to come out here and sit on the lighthouses pier staring at the water and watching the sunset.
I went to the corner of the cave and got the previously placed blanket. I unfolded it and placed it in the sand. Then I took a lighter and lit some of the candles I brought; vanilla, coconut, brown sugar, and a few others that Grace liked. Grace was watching me intently the whole time; not talking just observing, smiling. I turned on my portable radio and it played some soothing music. Then I got up and went over to Grace. Then I took her hand in mine and said "come on. I wanted us to do something with just us. So whatever you want I'm all yours." She was so happy that she couldn't stop smiling. She pulled me down to her and hungrily kissed me.
After she pulled back I led us into the cave and I sat down on the blanket. Grace soon followed and sat down on my lap. We sat and watched the shore line and the sun recede into the distance and the stars appear.
Soon we were asleep in each other's arms lying on a blanket in a cave under the shining stars. The moon was our nightlight and the cicadas were our lullaby.
