Prologue

"You called for me, Boss Mori?" Chuuya asked with a raised brow and a hand on his waist. He was confused and a bit irritated at the sudden call in the night.

Mori slightly held up a glass of wine, doing a circular motion of the fragile object, making the wine inside spin. Elise was drawing and coloring beside him.

"...." Chuuya watched in silence. He wasn't feeling good for the past days and he wasn't sure why.

"I have a mission for you." Mori broke the silence. Chuuya seemed to grow wary at the tone of their boss' voice.

"What mission?" The orange boy asked as he stood straight. It was obvious that he was tensed.

Mori took a sip of his wine and glanced at Chuuya. "You'll be working with the Black Lizard in this." He informed, his eyes glinting in the moonlight.

Chuuya gave a small nod. "What's the mission?" He asked again. Mori gave a spine-chilling chuckle.

"You're going to get our old executive back." Mori said and Chuuya couldn't hide his shock expression. "W-What? Why?" He quickly asked with a stutter which he cursed at in his thoughts.

Mori smirked and stood up, putting the wine down on the coffee table before turning directly at Chuuya.

"We need him." Mori said with a slight smirk. "And I'm sure you'll be able to convince him to come back."

Chuuya was silent for a few seconds before looking at the glass window that showed the view of the shining moon over the city.

".....Even I couldn't stop him from leaving. What difference will it make?" Chuuya finally said, a hint of sadness and rage in his voice.

"A big difference." Mori countered, turning to look at where Chuuya was looking.

Chuuya looked back at their boss before asking. "...What will you have us do?"

"I expected you to be smarter, Chuuya. There's only one thing we need." He said as he slipped his hands in his pockets. Elise was drawing a boy getting tortured.

"What is that?" Chuuya asked with a suspicious look. He heard footsteps behind him and glanced back to see the Black Lizard.

"Live bait." came Mori's answer before everything went black for Chuuya.
