Rose's POV
~eleven days before~

I woke up this morning craving pancakes. So, I made some. I figured that Ethan would probably want some too so I made another batch just for him. We had fruits in the refrigerator and I cut some strawberries and blueberries to make the pancakes look more appetising.

I already had my laptop switched on with another software. I seldom use this software because I dislike the layout of the information provided and this software can be easily hacked so information given may not be true.

I took a quick bite of my pancake before reading the paragraphs about Jonas Corporation.

____

Matteo Liam Jonas is the son of Alexandro Chase. Matteo took after his mother's last name because his father disappeared after being informed of Chase's ex-girlfriend, Leah Jonas' pregnancy.

Matteo was born a premature baby. Reportedly, his mother could not be bothered about Matteo's well-being thus, Matteo was registered into the foster system. Matteo never got along with other children his age and was regularly bullied in the foster care.

When Matteo turned 16, he ran away from the care and fled to New York where he'd find job opportunities for a year. He worked at a grocery store as a cashier and had rented a tiny apartment.

When he saved up enough money, he bought an apartment near the city where he stumbled across a distant relative he never met. That was when the company Jonas Corporation started.

____

"So this one's about Matteo..." I asked myself out loud unintentionally.

"What about Matteo?" Ethan whispered in my ear.

"I was just searching about Jonas Corporation on this software."

"Let me see. Hm, I didn't know about this. This is valuable information right here! Well done, Nelly!"

"Thanks?"

He walked away and disappeared into the long hallway. I wanted to research more on Chase but instead I received a notification from the software.

*Ethan Dolan's page has been updated*

I clicked on the notification and it brought me to Ethan's page. What I read was shocking. It was disturbing to say the least.

Someone had updated his page announcing that he had been kidnapping children and selling their organs. I didn't want to believe it because it was an open site and I doubt that Ethan would do such a thing.

He's too nice to children and there was not any solid evidence to prove that Ethan really was the person behind the Child Organ Trafficking. I decided to read up on Ethan and compare it to the software I would normally use.

_____

I was in denial. His profile had a list of all the despicable things he has done and I was beyond shocked. Evidently, he had raped a 15-year-old girl two years ago and was surprisingly bailed out. The bail costed his father two hundred grand.

Apparently, Ethan paid his father the bail money he owed. There are articles about Ethan's crime but it is really hard to find them.

I quickly shut down my laptop and shoved in it its cover. I ran to my room and pulled out blue skinny jeans and a grey sweatshirt. I put these clothes on and grabbed my gun from under the bed and flicked the safety on.

I shoved the pistol, muzzle-down, into the back of my jeans and grabbed my bag. I needed to find Sullivan. In my bag was my black one-piece, black jeans and my black leathers. I also have my wallet and keys in there.

I grabbed my phone which was sitting on the counter-top and yelled out a quick good-bye to Ethan before slamming the door shut and hurrying down to the lobby before he could respond.

I had ordered an Uber and it arrived just in time as I head out of the apartment complex. I was just going to the café I went to yesterday to hopefully spot Sullivan. Fingers crossed.

I pulled the door open and true enough, he was sitting in one of the booths alone. I sat in a booth directing parallel to him so that I could clearly see what he was doing.

He was looking around the café like he was searching for a certain someone. I attentively observed his behaviour and took down notes of his weakness.

After a torturous ten minutes passed by, his eyes glistened as it trailed someone who was walling in his direction. Guess who it was.

"Ethan!" Maurice greeted enthusiastically.

"Maurice!" Ethan greeted back.

They did a little handshake before Ethan took his seat. I was fuming at this point. I didn't understand how Ethan didn't manage to spot me sitting directly behind him.

I guess it was for the better. I didn't tell him of my whereabouts so I shouldn't be mad at his plans with meeting up with his 'childhood' best friend if it was really true.

I was going to give Ethan the benefit of the doubt but it is really hard to considering the fact that I read nasty reports about his background. I didn't manage to eavesdrop on their conversation since the café was really busy and people were talking really loud.

They started to negotiate on meeting at a secluded park to continue their discussion since their offices were closed for the day. I trailed behind them and made sure that I didn't lose them. I don't know my way around the city so I could get lost really easily.

Twenty minutes of walking soon came to a halt as they entered the park. I swiftly hid behind a bush to avoid being seen as Ethan turned his head to check for any stalkers.

He must have felt my presence but he shook it off and continue to walk alongside Sullivan. They kept talking about their childhood memories and about how it was good to catch up on what they missed.

I started to get bored and eventually, I started to play with the little twigs on the ground making a heart.
