The blonde slowly opened his eyes as the morning sun hit his sensitive eyes. Groaning a little, he sits up, seeing he fell asleep on all of the three seats.
Stretching his back, he remembers falling asleep after working on his laptop about the auditions his agent had offered him. He remembers Then going to see Julia but left for her and her boyfriend to have some privacy.
Thomas took out his phone, narrowing his eyes a little when the bright light hit his eyes. 7:30. They had been her for 11 hours now. Groaning, he swung his legs to sit straight up.
Suddenly, realising he fell asleep cuddled to a certain brunette, he looked around seeing no sign of Dylan.
"I'm here,"
Thomas looked up quickly relief overflowing him when he saw his husbands beautiful face. He also noted that he held two cups.
"I went to get us something to drink, I got you some tea,"
The brunette said as he sat down next the blonde and gave him the warm drink carefully. Thomas smiled as he took a soft sip, closing his eyes as the warmth filled his stomach.
"When you were asleep, the Doctors came,"
The brunette spoke gently making the blonde to turn his head and face him, letting him continue,
"Said Julia's cervix has dilated to 8cm and it'll take and hour or less for her to reach 10cm,"
The brunette faced his husband and smiled. Dylan loved Thomas. He loved him since 2014, and the thought of now having two daughters together made him feel like the happiest man alive. He took Thomas's hand in his and squeezed it softly.
"Our girls are coming,"
The blondes smile brighten as he laid his head on Dylan's shoulder and closes his eyes enjoying the moment.
-50 minutes later-
As the boys quietly chatted to each other, a loud squeal made them turn their heads. They smiled brightly seeing their families, well most of them. Thomas smiled seeing his parents and younger sister, whilst Dylan smiled seeing his own parents and older sister. They all hugged each other, including the boys to hug their in-laws, and greeted each other excitedly.
"So how is Julia doing?"
Tasha, Thomas's Mum, asked wrapping her arms around her son in law.
"She's alright, she has-"
"Thomas! Dylan!"
The brunette was interrupted when he heard James shout from the other side of the hallway. Everyone looked at him as he ran and stopped in front of them.
"What's the matter?"
"It's The twins, they're coming,"
James painted as the two men looked at each other with love filled eyes knowing that their baby girls are soon going to join their family.
"You go, we will wait outside,"
"W-what?"
"Go to your girlfriend! Be with her, we will see the girls when you are ready,"
James nodded and ran to the delivery room as the doctors took Julia. The boys wished her luck and just like that, she went to deliver the twins at 8:23.
9:45 The time when a painful scream filled the hospital. The nurses, doctors and even the patients, looked where the source came from. When they turned they saw two families covering their mouths, with tears in their eyes as they watch a brunette kneeling on the floor hugging a certain blonde who cried and screamed.
Yes. That's right. It was Thomas.
Thomas screamed and cried when the doctors told him the news. Baby 'a' came out safe and healthy but baby 'b' had troubles. They tried, but not hard enough, because at 9:45 the boys second daughters heart stopped.
Dylan remembers looking at the blonde, seeing his pale face, he felt his heart stop. The moment Thomas fell on the floor, Dylan quickly held him tightly whispering sweet things as the blonde cried.
After a while they went to see Julia. She smiled a sad smile, holding the alive baby. The boys went to her, receiving the baby from her and held the baby tightly.
She was beautiful. You could see her light hair sticking out, and saw how she slowly opened her eyes showing her beautiful brown eyes.
The boys smiled and cried of happiness yet sadness, knowing that she just lost a sister. How can such a small, innocent child experience that? How can God take back a angel so early?
The nurse bought the second baby, and Thomas felt his knees weaken. Such a small baby taken from this world to soon. Her skin was pale and her small eyes shut tightly, which won't open again. Won't open and see the beauty of life, only darkness.
Thomas slowly put the baby down to the cot as he covered his mouth seeing Dylan hold the second one, with tears in his own eyes. The blonde came up to him and gently wiped the tears from his gorgeous brown eyes.
Their foreheads met together as they looked down at the lifeless child. Everyone gave them space and time knowing how terrible they must feel. The brunette finally pulled away and carefully put the baby next to her sister. More tears came as the first baby tried speaking to her sister, unconditionally the baby put her arm over the baby's body like they were hugging.
The boys held each other tightly, before leaving so the doctors can check the baby's before they could leave.
26th April 2019, was the happiest yet the saddest day of the boys lives. They swore they will look after the first baby and protect it from any harms of the world, because the world already did.
