(Please don't hate me if I put the wrong thing for Mudkip's username! And I only used him because I know he doesn't believe in Herobrine!)

Herobrine's POV

"What do you think?" I ask.

Easy target. Null answers. Trap him?

"You got it." I chuckle, and he gives me a thumbs up, then disappears.

There’s a player in a survival world, it's supposed to be singleplayer, but who needs rules?

He's strip mining, thinking he's perfectly safe. Unfortunately for him, that's wrong. The poor guy, "HuskyMUDKIPZ," has no idea what we have in store.

I teleport behind him, just watching. Waiting for him to notice me. As he continues to mine, he runs into a cave. I smile.

He places torches so he can see, and the light reveals Null standing there. Mudkip jumps, then pulls out a sword and slices Null across the chest. However, it seems to have no affect. He swings again, still nothing. How is Null not hurt...? Oh well, I'll ask later.

Realizing he's not hurting Null, he turns to run. Upon seeing me, however, he stops. He switches to his pickaxe and digs into the wall. I run to the hole, only to see him dig into lava. Before he can get away, he burns to death. That ought to teach him. We're real, he better not forget that.

As soon as Mudkip's dead, I turn my attention back to Null. He's just standing there. Before I can say anything, he raises his left hand to his chest where Mudkip hit him. When he pulls away, a thick, black liquid is dripping from his hand. It takes me a second, but I realize it's his blood. Looking at him closely now, I can see two long lines that are darker black than the rest of him. Mudkip did hurt him, and it looks bad.

I'm fine. Null signs. It's barely a scratch.

"That's two sword slashes!" I protest. "That's enough to kill someone!"

Not a demon. He responds. To me, this is hardly a cat scratch. I can't tell if he's joking, serious, or what. That's the problem of being a blank figure who never makes any sound. Emotions are impossible to tell.

I've known for a couple months now that Null's a demon. I'm just still learning what does and does not match up with demons and people.

"Are you serious?" I ask. He nods.

Very. He answers.

"Lucky." I chuckle. "But I still think you should have that healed." He shrugs and I hand him the potion of healing.

I forget how easy you guys can get hurt sometimes. Null signs. Judging by the slight shaking of his shoulders, I think he's laughing.

"Well you're the only demon out of us." I remind him. He shrugs.

True. He agrees. But you should be glad it's that way. Most demons are very selfish and inconsiderate.

"I'll take your word for it." I chuckle.

Let’s get out of this server before Mudkip comes back. He signs.

"Good idea." I agree.

(Time skip)

"Yeah, he's pretty tough to hurt." Brine chuckles. "Originally, he was way stronger than me. It was a while before I was able to even stand a chance against him."

"So what changed?" I ask.

"Null helped me out." He answers. "It's crazy, I'd have never guessed demon blood can strengthen a guy."

"What, like a potion of strength?" I ask.

"One that doesn't wear off." He shrugs. "Thanks to Null, I'm a lot harder to hurt than I used to be."

"So you've got demon blood in you?!" I exclaim, surprised.

"Yeah, man." He laughs. "Null's kinda sensitive about it, he doesn't like doing that."

"And he's ok with you telling me?" I ask. He shrugs.

"Yeah, long as I make it clear not to expect him to to that kinda thing again." He answers.

"Well I wouldn't like giving my blood to other people either." I chuckle. "Still, that was pretty generous, giving you some of his blood to help you out." He smiles.

"Yeah." He chuckles. "Sure was. Glad he did, too. If he hadn't, I'd have died a long time ago." I think off all the times Brine has done something reckless and laugh.

"No doubt about it." I agree. He frowns.

"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?!" He demands.

"Just that you're reckless and crazy sometimes." I chuckle. He glares, then after a couple seconds, starts laughing.

"Can't even get mad at you for that!" He laughs. "It's so true!

(Anyone get the demon blood thing? It's a bit of a reference to something I like to watch on Netflix. :3)
