Loving Secrets

S I X

       "That'll be $20." The ticket boy said. Chase placed the money in his hand. The boy took it and gave us two tickets back. "Enjoy the movie."

       We took the tickets and hurried into the theatre.

      "You want popcorn?" Chase placed his hand on the small of my back.

     I nodded my hand and smiled.

     The lines for concession were unbelievably long. We searched for the shortest one they had. When we did we hustled down to it before it got longer.

    As we waiting in line I watched the door seeing if anyone I knew would walk in.

     Or if a certain someone would.

       What happened the other night with James replayed over in my head again and again. It was driving me crazy.

      Every time I look chase in the eyes all I can think about is how James said he just wanted me for......sex. It was hard to believe but then at the same time it wasn't.

     As watched the door the certain someone who I thought wouldn't walk in did, but he had company.

    Danielle.

    She was latched on to his arm.

    When they looked over towards the line I immediately turned my focus forward. We were closer to the front of the line now.

   I wish it'd movie faster.

    "Are you okay?" Chase moved his hand away from my back. I guess he saw me staring over at James.

     "Yeah just anxious to watch the movie." I lied.

      Chase didn't say anything back. I wondered if he could tell I was hiding something.

      Once we got our popcorn we went to theatre 1B where the movie was going to be shown. We took a sit in the middle section. The room wasn't quite packed as I thought it would be.

      People took their seats as they came in. I watched the door once again hoping that James and Danielle wouldn't come in.

     But I couldn't get that lucky. The were the last people to walk in.

     Great.

     I watched them walk down the rows looking for good seats. They finally took some literally right across from us. I could see them clearly.

     The lights went down low, that meant the movie was getting ready to begin. I leaned back trying to get comfortable. Chase laid his arm behind me.

    As the previews played I would look over at James every so often. Danielle was all over him. She was running her hands through his hair, whispering in his ear, kissing his neck.

    It was unbelievable.

    She was unbelievable.

    I was I jealous?

   No.

    Chase saw me staring over at them and moved his arm away from me. "Ellie are you okay?"

    I looked over at him. "Chase I'm great."

    Lie number two.

     Chase looked back over at James and Danielle not knowing who they were. Since it was dark.

      The previews were finally over. It seemed like hours had gone by since there was so many.

      As the movie played I sat there eating popcorn not showing any fear in the pop up scares.
