“Emily, wake up.” I heard my mom say loudly, I groaned and rolled over too tired to get up. “Emily! Get up before im late for work!” she yelled “Ok, im up!” I yelled back. “Good, now feed your cat. Im off to work there’s a list of chores on the fridge call me before you go anywhere!” she snapped. Wait a list of chores! Are you serious? I was supposed to- you know what…never mind im not even surprised. I got out of bed and made my way to the bag of cat food grabbing Stella a handful of food and putting it in a pile on the floor. “Stella baby your foods up here!” I called for her, seconds later she pranced herself through my door. I looked down at myself and debated if I should shower now or later. “Might as well stay in these clothes do chores then take a shower when im done.” I said to myself. I puffed out my cheeks and shrugged my shoulders. I pet Stella’s head and started walking downstairs to the kitchen. I saw the list and it was 2 papers stapled together full of chores and a note at the bottom.

‘Dear Emily,

Clean the kitchen,

Do the dishes,

Clean the family bathroom,

Take out the trash,

Clean the Living room,

Set the dining room table,

Sweep/mop,

Vacuum,

Clean our room and bathroom,

Clean your room and bathroom,

Clean the fridge out,

Organize the movies,

Clean the cat litter,

Give Stella a bath,

Do ALL laundry,

Dust

Clean windows,

Clean all closets,

And sweep the porch.

Thank you honey!! Make sure everything is done! I’ll have guests over if you want to go to a friend’s house you can but remember call me.

Love: Mom. <3’

I sighed and got to work. I set the list down on the counter and looked at the stove. In a teal color ‘9:21’ lit up on the top. Awesome, Its 9:21 in the morning and I have to do chores. I groaned and shuffled to the living room grabbing the remote and standing in front of the T.V. Turning it on and typing in ‘1525’ that was the channel for ‘MC’s greatest hits’ immediately the screen popped up and music quietly came out of the T.V. I hit the volume button and read on the screen what song it was. ‘Radioactive by Imagine Dragons’ that’s a good song.

“I raise my flags, don my clothes,

It's a revolution I suppose.

We'll paint it red, to fit right in, whoa.

I'm breaking in, shaping up, checking out on the prison bus.

This is it, the apocalypse, whoa.

I'm waking up; I feel it in my bones.

Enough to make my systems blow,

Welcome to the new age, to the new age.

Welcome to the new age, to the new age.

Whoa, whoa, radioactive, radioactive.

Whoa, whoa, radioactive, radioactive.” I sang along putting the remote down and walking to the kitchen. I continued to sing and started reading the first 3 things I had to do. Starting with the kitchen I cleaned out the fridge, took out the trash (after I got the trash from all around the house.), I did the dishes, and cleaned up the counters.
