Binding Chains
"Ei!" Tuna smacked Ynan on the head, making the tall man clinch in pain. "You had been spacing out. Come on, enjoy this night!"
"Don't we have class tomorrow?" Ynan replied as he rub his battered head. He eyed Tuna and London who are seat opposite to him on the table.
"Don't be a buzzkill, Bro." Tuna hissed and turned her gaze to London. "Right, London?"
London just nodded to signify his agreement then chugged his beer mug again, emptying it this time.
"See," Tuna flicked her hair. "Even this bird-brain agrees with me."
"Fish-rolls." London said in simple retaliation to her.
"Shut it," Tuna hissed at him.
London just shrugged his shoulders --- like what he always do.
She then turned her attention back to Ynan. "What were you thinking? You seem not yourself today."
Nothing, he thought. Ynan just shook his head and gulped the remaining foaming beer in his mug. Nothing.
He roamed his eyes around the open-air bar. It's located somewhere around Lumpini Park so the Lumpini Lagoon is quiet near from where they sat. The entire area is covered in yellow star-light bulbs, giving it a relaxing atmosphere. The trees covering the entire area made the entire area even more chilled.
Then, he almost chocked on his beer upon seeing two men walking into the bar and settled just several tables away from them.
"What the..." Tuna hissed as she handed Ynan sheets of napkin to help him with the leaking beer from his mouth. "Are you okay?"
"Y-Yeah," Ynan now wiped his mouth as he try to stop the coughing caused by the fluid being blocked midway in his windpipe. He then gave the men short awkward glances.
London watched with confusion at the sudden awkward behavior of his usually sophisticated friend. So, to answer his inquiry, he twisted his neck around and looked at the row of tables behind them.
