I could feel how the blades beneath me glided softly through the ice, as the melody of the piano was binding with every part of my soul until it became part of me. I was performing Yuri on Ice when I realized what Victor must've meant when he said that sometimes it appeared as if the music flowed through me. Agh! Why!? Why do I always have to end up thinking about him? That's why am here in the first place! (And even though Yuri DID get inspired to skate partially because his Russian idol, he wasn't referring to that. Whenever Yuri got nervous, usually he would just run to Ice Castle and practice. And let's face it, Victor could make him really nervous). As the melody started to get to an end, my nerves got soothed and I started to feel tired. What time is it already? I should probably get going... This time I didn't run, instead, I decided to enjoy the peaceful night that would soon turn into dawn. Well, I hoped that it wasn't THAT soon, now I really felt like getting some serious sleep.
When I got back, I was so sleepy that I didn't even bother turning the lights on. I never did anyway, in order to avoid waking up somebody. I walked like a zombie, into my room, and to the bathroom to take a shower. The hot drops of water were even more relaxing, and I completely forgot about what had stressed me out earlier (or should I say "Who"? Anyhow, Yuri was too tired to remember, or was he?).
I headed to my bed and got under the covers. Sleep was slowly catching up to me like a warm embrace, almost as if it was-"Victor!?" The nerves got back all of the sudden as I jumped out of the bed. "What are you-" I was interrupted by that unmistakable Russian voice. "Shh... Calm down Yuri" He said softly. "I came to tell you something a few hours ago, guess I must have fallen asleep". There was NO way I was getting back in bed unless he wan... No! Yuri don't even think about it!
"Oh...I see, don't worry, I'll just sleep in your room for tonight". That was the only thing that I could think of that didn't include sleeping with Victor or sending him out. "Wouldn't it be easier to sleep with me?" Victor said in a playful tone. "Um... maybe... but I... I tend to sleep talk so-" Again I was interrupted by his flirty voice. "Oh really? This is just getting more interesting then... Besides I left my room's window open so you'll be cold." He said this last with a bit of concern. "It's okay I don't mind". I was starting to feel relieved (well, partially), as I was about to leave the room, but then Victor gave his final statement. "Well I do because if you catch a cold you won't be able to train for a few days, and as your coach, I'm not willing to let that happen". Suddenly I stopped on my tracks and my eyes went wide, even though I couldn't see a thing. Victor had won with that argument, there was nothing I could say to change that.
All of the sudden I felt a pressure on my shoulders, that went on circular motions and gradually started to increase its pressure. I froze. Victor's fingers pressed from my lower neck to my shoulders and all the way to the upper section of my back. And maybe it was because of how tired I was after all that training, or maybe I had been containing myself without even realizing yet. But the truth is I had no control over myself once I felt his warm breath tingling on my ear as he whispered. "You need to rest Yuri..." So I was drifted away by his strong Russian accent, and without noticing my head rested upon his shoulder, tilted enough so that I was practically facing his neck. He didn't seem to mind and continued what he was doing, pressing a little bit harder. This last one made let out a deep breath, louder than I expected, which only made Victor chuckle.
My left hand reached for his wrist and so he stopped. He freed my right shoulder and whispered behind me with a sweet tone. "Come on Yuri, let's go get some sleep." So I decided to let go of him and follow. I wrapped myself with a blanket without realizing that Victor wasn't lying next to me, instead, he sat on the edge of the bed, and slid his fingers through my hair. He rested that way until I was basically asleep. I couldn't help but wonder why he wouldn't lay down already, but my eyelids were starting to feel really heavy, and with my last piece consciousness, I felt him pull away and whisper tenderly with his beautiful voice. "Goodnight Yuri". Then I heard the door closing softly. He was heading to his room, the same one with the open window, and the freezing breeze.
