I focused on changing my country in the most effective way. Politics. I ran for senator from my state, Michigan, and won the election twice. I ran for governor of my home state and was victorious. In the presidential election that year, the Democratic presidential candidate, Connor Johnson, won the election and made me Secretary of State.
Now I was in my office. Looking out the window, thoughtful. Today is a splendid day. The sun's rays streamed through the window.
"Ma'am, everything is ready for your press conference." My chief of staff told me.
"I'm coming now, Nick. Thank you very much." I replied with a sincere smile.
I took my statement and on my way to the press room, I wondered if the world was ready for what I had to say.
