Max woke up with cold sweat In the middle of the night, and in the middle of a forest… or the woods. Or maybe even in the middle of nowhere, it doesn't even matter now. Max live in a post apocalyptic world, and with a few people left in this world, it's pretty safe to say he owns everything, including places. This whole dead forest, or dead woods is pretty much his home.
Everything is in his possession now, he owns everything. That kind of power felt, Good… But, with the price of loneliness… It didn't matter. Max haven't seen any human in the last 3 months. All he saw in the last months are just bugs, abandoned car, and trash. It's really lonely, it's impressive Max hasn't lost his sanity… Or, maybe he did. The war has changed the world, and it has also changed Max for sure.

It's night time, probably mid night. But that doesn't matter, time still exist. But it's not like Max would be late for anything. He just gotta get to the Fort, that's his goal. Well, at least that's his goal right now.
Because not a lot of people are still around, and Fort is still a new thing. Max is not really sure if the Fort is real or not. But, through all the information he gathered from radio broadcast, graffiti tag, and dead people's diary and journal when he is searching for supplies.
The Fortress or The Fort, is a safe haven built by most of the remaining survivor. It's located at the Quarter Cove Airport. And Through all the clue and hints about this place, it's pretty safe to say this place is legit. Also it seems Max is not the only one going there. Theres Traces of other people around the pathway he's been guided through from all the clue he found, it indicate that Max is in the right way to The Fort.

Max is a bit confused right now, he doesn't know what to do. It's midnight, it's dark, it's cold. He just wants to get to The Fort immediately. Wait, no… he just wants everything to be normal again.
Humanity are selfish, full of greed, and evil. He is disappointed that he is a part of the human race. And it even makes it worse that he is a part of the war.

Max was a USA soldiers. He was maybe one of the best soldier of the military, a lot of people in the military call him the 'Lone Wolf'. Succeeding in multiple missions, and he always worked alone. Even when he is assigned with multiple people, most of the time he wants to do things by himself, he always feel like he is better than others. Maybe because it's true.
But Max is not a bad person, he is still nice to others and Helping people around him. He's just stubborn. He's always wanted to do things himself and not be a burden to others. So, now it shouldn't be a problem when he is surviving alone. But, it somehow felt… different, even though he liked it better to do it this way.

It's still midnight, Max is a bit cold. A bit? Just a bit? Max doesn't remember much from the war, or yesterday, and the day before that. His brain and memory has been rusty for some times, it feels like he's just getting more broken each day. Well, Max doesn't question anything. If he is strong enough in this environment, then he is strong enough in this environment.
He glance at the blanket that got pushed away when he suddenly woke up. He pulled it back and tucked himself inside of it. He took a deep breath, and close his eyes. Hoping that he wouldn't be stressed again by he nightmare… it's dark, just blackness… He's not dreaming.

For the past weeks, this is what Max has been dreaming off. Either this or the war, and Max prefer this one. It's more silence, and definitely it's not traumatizing. And it's also quick.

Max opened his eyes, and the sky has turned blue. Even though it was only a 3 or 4 minutes of darkness and silence, it was actually hours of sleep. Come to think of it, it feels like time traveling. You dream for 5 minutes and it's the equivalent of 8 hours. Meanwhile people around you still experience the 8 hours normally unlike when you are sleeping. Maybe sleeping is the closest thing we could get to time travel.
Max would do anything to be able time travel to the past and change the future, because this is not the future he wants. This is not the future anyone wants. But, it's quite crazy to think that anything we do in the past can change the future. While we barely did anything in the present to change the future. And that's what happen, they did barely anything to stop the war, and the future has been shaped into a Dystopia.
