"Buddy, will you run to the store? I forgot milk last night, and unless you don't want pancakes for breakfast, I suggest you hurry. " I chuckle after closing the fridge. I reach into the cabinet to grab the quick pancake mix.
"Betty Crocker!""Umm, okay, I guess. " Buddy got up from the couch.
"Buddy, are you okay? " I ask politely.
"Uh, yeah. Everything's fine. " He growled.
I'm not sure if he found out. I hope he hasn't. I was out late, I made a mistake, and I hoped it would never be brought up. One of his friends must have saw me.Buddy left the apartment.
I grabbed my suitcase. I knew it wouldn't last any longer.
"Why are you packing?" Buddy asked when he got home.
"Don't you want this?" I whine.
"What the hell is going on?" Buddy growled
"You've been acting strange all morning, Jay! Tell me!" He continued.
His barks scared me. He wonders why I left him. Why I cheated. For one, I left him because he was abusive. Mentally, and occasionally physically. Second of all, he never gave me attention. I don't mean to sound like a total white chick. But, he's selfish! He doesn't care about me, his mom, his dad, anybody! He took the money I saved up for my next heart surgery to go buy him clothing, he has the entire closet of stuff. We're barely hanging on. He only wants things for himself. It will always be like that.
And I just don't understand....
