I put on a random playlist to get ready for the party, hard to believe I look this relaxed, dancing to different songs when I have a hundred things on my mind. School hasn't been kind to me lately, aside from my parents constant pressure to visit them since I moved out of their house, thinking that food and technology might not be the best career path for me, but picking majors was harder than expected and it's too late to change it now, at least my minor in environmental science is as fulfilling as I hoped it would be.
Not trying to bore you here, I'm just genuinely concerned about my future, hasn't that ever happened to you? Haven't you ever gotten to a certain point in life where you don't know what else to do? Haven't you ever felt like you are doing too little? Or too much? Or maybe you're just too tired to do enough? If so, how do you make all these negative sensations go away? If you haven't gone through this self-questioning, then leave, this is not a place for people who have the upper hand when it comes to their mental health.
What am I saying? It's not like I'm actually talking to someone other than myself.
Maybe this party is just what I need to take my mind off of everything, I've never been to a party downtown before. Rumor has it a lot of important people go to that club, maybe it will be exciting.
Grabbed my phone, keys, wallet, double checked I turned off the stove and then I waltzed out of my house as excited as I could be. At the end of my driveway was a gray car waiting for me to get in, I heard how the honk went off for me to hurry up, got in as fast as I could laughing at the gesture.
"How's my Lilypad doing?" She asked once I opened the door
"Great, until you parked your moving junkyard in front of my house, people will think something's up" She couldn't help but laugh at my comment
"Don't you talk like that to my baby, it can hear you. Besides, it's not like you can take the bus or walk all they way" I heard she turned on the engine and couldn't help but sigh at the cool sensation of the AC
"Maybe not, but I hope you can upgrade soon so people won't look at us weird" I took my phone out of my pocket and it instantly connected to her car radio "What would you like to hear today? HeartLiam Radio is taking requests"
"Why are you asking me when you well know Louis is the only thing you can play in my car?" She pulled out of my driveway, as soon as she finished her sentence, I pushed play and the speakers blasted the iconic intro of Miss You by Louis Tomlinson.
