It was another usual day you know getting up, going to school etc. I looked out my window but I couldn't see much due to the fact the window was covered with rain droplets and condensation. The weather was as dull as anything and rain deafened everyone's ears. The thunder roared louder than a lion and the streets were flooded with water. I just stared in despair and wondered if my life could get any better.

"Diana, Diana hurry up you'll be late for school" said my dad. Oh yeah forgot to introduce you that's my dad: Mr. Carl Dawson. He's absolutely amazing and means the world to me. Since my mother left us it has only been me and my dad. We do everything together from cooking to cleaning. Sometimes I wonder how life would be without him? And how despite everything he's been through how he carries on, rises and smiles through every difficulty?

"Diana come on I'm not calling you again, you'll be late" . I snapped out of my thoughts and quickly brushed and got dressed ready for school, I picked up my books and just as I was about to leave the room I remembered I almost forgot my phone. Oh yes my phone it was like my life, I couldn't live without it or go anywhere without it. I ran down the stairs and all I could smell was dad's burnt toast, the kitchen was full of smoke and I could hardly see my dad; his face was covered in smoke and he stood there with the pan in his hand and the kitchen cloth in the other. The fire alarm started going off and my dad had to jump up and down waving the cloth about the alarm. I stood there in disbelief trying to work out how exactly I managed to put up with all this every morning...
