It's the year 2048. You (Lilly, a 24 year old woman) and your 4 year old son Zakk are walking down the street, no destination in mind until you walk past a building called The Trawsten. It's a pretty tall building but not the tallest in the area, but still of decent height. Your kid sees a bubble gum machine and instantly runs towards it, pushing over others on the sidewalk and in the door. You apologize for him and follow his steps inside. You walk in and notice two people at the front desk, you try to pinpoint their names and where you've seen them. Is his name Darvis? Traven? What if the other's is August? Maybe it's Houston? You don't know but what you do know is that you need to get your kid and head on out. You somehow find yourself walking up to the front desk and taking a little peep at their name tags. Oooh, you think, Travis and Awsteeeennnnn. Darvis, Houston, close enough. You get uncomfortably close to their chests and look like a crazy person, possibly you're sniffing them? Awsten just lets it happen because no woman has ever wanted to be that close to him, let alone smell him. Travis on the other hand, has had his fair share of weird occurrences with women at this desk, so he backs away. It now finally clicks in your head, TRAVIS AWSTEN TRAWSTEN DUH. You look at them, smile, and walk away to find your son.  You start to worry as you can't find him, asking everyone in the lobby and on the sidewalk if they've seen him. You stay outside and run blocks away to see if he's been caught in the rush of the motion. Now that you're gone, Awsten and Travis look at eachother with a devilish grin, bend down and lift up the child's body. Not dead, perfectly alive. Crying though, he just got kidnapped after all.

I don't know these people. They seem scary but somehow i'm not scared. The one with the name tag Travis is cute though. They hid me under the desk and told me we're playing hide and seek with my momma and keep telling me she's getting close so i stay under the desk. Whenever i ask if she's close the kick me, sometimes it hurts and sometimes it doesn't. I tried to get up a couple times but they just shoved me back down. I didn't know what was happening, why would anyone do this to me? I spent a couple hours down there, then Awsten and Travis walked away and were gone a few minutes. My momma gave me a phone in case of emergency so i sent her a message. I hear footsteps coming towards me so i hide my phone and curl up in a ball and close my eyes. Awsten is there and sits next to me.
'Is it alright if i take you somewhere?' he asked.
My momma taught me to not talk to strangers, so i keep my mouth shut.
'Okay then, i'll take you to a room we have. You'll love it.'
He holds his hand out and waits a moment for me to grab it. I do and he takes me down a lot of stairs to a room that has a lot of boxes and wood. I had no idea what i was supposed to do down here, but Awsten and Travis left me in there and locked the door. I make a bed out of boxes and found a towel in one of them for a blanket. I took out my phone under the towel and saw my momma hasn't messaged me back. It's been a while since I saw her and I miss her. She's probably just watching tv or listening to a weird band she likes called The Waterjeffs.

*Mom's POV*

Where could he have gone? God dammit Zakk, I love you so much.

I've gone through so much heartbreak these last few months. From losing my second child in a miscarriage, to getting divorced from my high school sweetheart. Living with just Zakk and I, it's been tough. I thought that going on a walk around town would be a nice bonding experience, as well as a way to clear our minds a little bit. That didn't go as planned. God fucking dammit.

*Son's POV*

I fell asleep before momma answered me back. I don't think she got it. I still don't know why the two little men are still keeping me down here. When I woke up I saw that there was a garage door on the opposite end of the room. I looked at my phone and saw that it was 5:00 in the morning. I assumed no one would be at the building this early, so I hid under my towel and texted my momma again. She still hadn't responded yet. It was cold in the room so when I got up, I walked with the towel draped over my shoulders to keep me warm. I tiptoed over to the big door, it having windows at the bottom of the panels, I kneeled down and looked outside. The sun was just barely coming up. I noticed that there were a bunch of houses as far down the road that I could see. I turned my head slightly to the right to find the switch to open it.

*Narrator's POV*

Without hesitation, Zakk flipped the switch and rolled out from under the door as quickly as he could. He ran as fast as a 4 year old boy could run and knocked on the door of the closest house near him. Keep in mind, it's only 5 in the morning. Still though, there was a woman with loving green eyes on the other side of the door. She opened it, wondering why anyone would be knocking on her door so early. She opened the door, and noticed the little boy. "What's wrong?" "Why are you all alone?" "Are you lost?" are some questions she asked him. She let him inside for a moment and Zakk told her the whole story.
