Chapter 9

Sasha's POV

"Come on Elina!We have to go now!!"I said,waiting for her."Okay,okay I'm sorry,let me grab my

purse first then we go"Elina said,grabbing her purse.We went outside and lock the door.This is our

second day in Brazil.For today,all I want to do is explore and explore.This is going to be a long yet

awesome day!

We walked out to the front of the hotel lobby and damn,the view is so beautiful.We decided to not

grab a taxi,since it's like probably 5 minutes walk which is fine and we really wanted to see all

places and smell the fresh air of Brazil! We kept on walking and admire the view.There's a lot of

people here.There's a market here and there's music going on as well.

"Oh my god,I forgot to bring my camera"I said,looking for the camera in my bag."Lucky for you,I

brought my camera"Elina said.She unzipped her bag to find her camera."Here"She said extending

her hand to give me her camera."Thank god,I seriously cannot leave it like this,I mean look at this

place.It's really cool"I said."Yeah,yeah I get it.Now take the damn picture"Elina said rolling her

eyes.I stuck my tongue out at her and started to take pictures.

I took a lot of pictures on Elina's camera.I took pictures of the food,people dancing and the place.I

just couldn't stop taking pictures and admiring this place.I took some selfies with a few bunch of

strangers as well and I will post it on my Instagram.It's like a happy neighbourhood in here,people

are laughing and smiling.That's what makes the view more stand out.

*7 hours later..*

We have been exploring since 10 o'clock the morning until 5 o'clock in the afternoon.Man,we lost

the track of time.Elina's stomach grumbled."Man,I didn't eat since this morning"Elina said while

patting her stomach."Okay,there must be a restaurant here somewhere" I said looking at the

traveling guide."Look,there's a restaurant across the street"Elina said."Then what are you waiting

for let's go!"I said.

We ordered a lot of different types of dishes,just to try them out.I ordered Bauru,A popular

Brazilian sandwich. The traditional recipe calls for cheese (usually mozzarella) melted in a bain-

marie, slices of roast beef, tomato and pickled cucumber in a French bun with the crumb (the soft

inner part) removed,Coxinha,"Little chicken thigh" - a popular food in many countries in South

America. The drumstick is a snack Brazilian originally from São Paulo, but also common in

Portugal, and based on dough made with wheat flour and chicken broth, which is filled with spiced

chicken meat.And for dessert,I ordered Dulce De Leche,a South American confection prepared by

slowly heating sweetened milk to create a product that derives it's taste from the Maillard reaction

of the product,changing flavor and colors.I also ordered a bottle of water just to keep hydrated.

As for Elina,she ordered Deep-fried cassava,a typical substitute for French fries in Brazil,

Venezuela,Colombia,and several Central American countries including Panama.It is commonly

served in bars along with beer.She ordered Pão de queijo,A small, baked, cheese-flavored roll/bun/

puff. It's a very popular snack and breakfast food all over Brazil, but especially in the state of Minas

Gerais. Also present in Bolivia, Paraguay and northern Argentina. These cheese puffs are

distinctive not only because they are made of cassava or corn flour, but also because the inside is

chewy and moist with a crumbly crust around.She also ordered Pé-de-Moleque, a peanut brittle is

a traditional candy made of mixing roasted, peeled or macerated peanuts with melted brown

sugar, jaggery, molasses or rapadura.She also ordered a bottle of water.

Before we eat,obviously we took some pictures of our food,just to remember this day for the first

time we tried some Brazilian dishes."Let's take a picture of our first bite!"Elina squealed."Alright"I

said,smiling."Okay,from the count of 3,2,1.Take your first bite!!"Elina said jumping up and down

in her seat.I took my first bite as Elina took a picture of me trying Brazilian dishes."Mmm,wow,it's

delicious"I said.I can eat Brazilian food all day! "Okay,me next"Elina said.She took her first bite as

I captured a picture of her taking her first bite."Damn,this is pure bliss"Elina said.I agree with her.

This is pure bliss.

After we're done eating,we decided to grab a cab to go back to our hotel.We're too tired and full to

walk right now.It took us 10 minutes to reach there.We went back to our hotel room,doing our

night routine and get ready for bed!

I've never been to Brazil and never taste the food, so...basically I had to do some research.And

the food has good reviews soo...I'm guessing the food is good so yeah.And I don't know which food

to pick so I kinda pick the ones that looked nice and delicious...Idk.But I seriously do wanna try
