Chapter 1

My name is Abigail Kate Brown. But Abby for short. I am 18 years old and currently living on my own in an apartment in LA not far from LAX. I have a brother named Ben and two sisters named Lottie and Makayla. Lottie is 16, Makayla is 14 and Ben is 12. When I was 13 my mum divorced my dad because was abusing me and my sisters. So Lottie Makayla and I went to live with my mum while Ben stayed with my dad and it was like this for 5 years until I moved into my own apartment.

You’re probably wondering what I look like. Well I am 5ft 9inchs, I have long brown hair which reaches the bottom of my back, I’ve got dark brown eyes almost like the colour of chocolate and I’ve average build. I am the complete opposite to my family, Lottie and Makayla both have blonde hair and brown eyes, whereas Ben has blonde hair and blue eyes.

I have a best friend named Keira Carroll-Vickers. We have been best friends since 1st grade (we were only 7 years old). It all started when I offered her some M&M’s during our lunch break and I ended up practically feeding them to her, since then we’ve been inseparable. I love Keira to the end of the universe and back, we have been through so much together, I was there for her when her mum died and when she developed depression and started self-harming. Thankfully she is almost 10 months clean and I’m determined to keep it this way. Keira has also been there for me, she has been my shoulder to cry on, my best friend whenever I needed her, the reason behind my smile and my true happiness, I never want to lose her; she means so much to me. About 2 years ago our friendship almost got ruined, when I was 15 I realised I was a lesbian and I hid it from Keira for about a year because I was scared and afraid to be who I was. When Keira found out she was greatly hurt that I didn’t hurt her but after about 2 weeks of not talking to each other she finally accepted it and we become stronger than ever.

Keira and I are currently in 12th grade together getting ready to leave school and go to the University of California where I’d train in the art of dance and Keira would train to achieve her dream job as a music teacher. We have so many plans together for example go on a road trip round all the states, go to Paris for a long weekend and go and see our idol Demi Lovato on her world tour.

Both Keira and I have an unhealthy obsession with Demi Lovato. We cant explain it, it’s just something about her... if I’m perfectly honest Demi turned me. Everything about her is just perfect, her vocals, the way she slays songs and her body, like holy fuck. I would go lesbian for Demi anyday…
