Shatthew : A Love Story

Chapter 1

   It was the 23rd of June, 2018. The day that Matthew would meet the girl he fantasized about meeting everyday, sometimes even in his dreams.

He got ready and left the house giddy with excitement. When he got to the theatre he waited in line to purchase his ticket to the movie that he was going to see with his friends and hopefully his future girlfriend, Shanique.

Then he saw her, his first thoughts were probably x-rated but you know it's Matthew so it's expected.

Shanique, sensing a pair of eyes on her turned around. She recognized him as the guy in pictures. Shyly, she turned around plagued by her lack of skills in the social department.

10-15 minutes later, they were united by a mutual friend. Their shyness melted away like an ice cube in the summer heat.

During the movie, cupid seemed to have sensed the chemistry between them and sealed their fate with adjacent seats. After a while, Shanique being Shanique became cold. Watching her in awe and disbelief, Matthew questioned how?

"Feel my hand then," she said while sticking her hand out the curly-headed boy. Taking it with a shrug he felt it and indeed it was cold, soft but cold.

A fire ignited in them both and their bond was sealed forever.
