Summer Vacation

...

I crawled out of bed and walked to my closet. I looked through my clothes, flipping them 1 by 1. I flipped past the leather jacket I wore the day Jackey and Tyrone went missing and died. The day that we found Skyler's mutilated body. The day Jason kissed me in an attempt to get me back before he died. The day that I expressed my love for Noah right to him and we finally kissed. The day Kitty and Riley fell in love. The day Tyler broke his leg.

The day I put a bullet through Mia's head.

I flipped further, letting the memories pass through my brain.

I flipped past the dark red flannel I wore the day I got out of the hospital. The day Noah introduced me to Bella.

"She can see the future, just like Mia," Noah had said.

I just stood there, tears filling my eyes. I had to see this girl all the time, this girl that did the same thing as Mia.

But she wasn't Mia.

She had beautiful hazel eyes, not the sparkly blue ones that Mia could use to charm anyone into anything.

Her hair was a long wavy reddish-brown, not a long wavy blonde like Mia.

She was an off-brand Mia.

She was nowhere near as funny and positive. She didn't compliment me all the time like Mia used to.

She just wasn't the same.

I sighed and flipped through more clothes.

The shirt I wore to my first date with Noah.

"You look beautiful," He said and took my hand.

We walked Mainstreet and the beautiful string lights hung over the road, connected to every Victorian style building.

Our hands were linked and we stopped at the ice cream shop and shared a vanilla cone. I got ice cream on my nose.

Then he got serious.

We had finished the cone and he took both of my hands into his.

I stared up into his beautiful green eyes and what came out of his mouth was like a dream.

"Do you want to make it official?" He asked me, "Do you want to be my girlfriend?"

I answered with an excited, "Yes!" and we kissed across the table. He smelled like cherry pie.

We stayed out late that night knowing there was no darkness that would capture us after the sun disappeared behind the horizon.

I pulled my dark grey cropped hooded long sleeve off of its hanger and took off my dark blue tank top. I had a lacey muted pink bralette on already and I didn't care to change into a real bra. I slipped into the shirt and it fell off of my shoulder.

"Did this grow?" I asked myself. But I already knew why all of my clothes were a size too big. It was no use asking myself this when I knew why but didn't want to accept it.

I lifted the shirt from my stomach a looked down at my disgusting body. My ribs poked through my chest and my stomach was almost hollow looking.

I was just skin and bone.

I dropped the shirt back down and put on some jeans. They were supposed to be skinny jeans but they didn't hug my hips like they used to and they didn't perfectly fit my ankles like they used to.
