It was dark. The only sound was the scurrying of rats across the cold, hard ground, and it echoed through the seemingly endless room. There was a young woman, shackled to the wall. She had no idea who she was, where she was, or how she had gotten there, but she was determined to find out. She cried out in pain as she tried to stand and immediately collapsed. Her leg was broken. Her eyes filled with tears: she had never experienced anything so painful. As she cried, tears fell on her leg, and it did something amazing. The tears healed it almost immediately. That was when she realized she had super powers. As she stared at her leg and amazement in memory race through her mind. She now knew her name.
"Kara," she said to herself. Her voice was hoarse as she had not spoken in a very long time. Kara was filled with anger. She had no idea why or who at but she was angry nonetheless. She looked at her shackles and they turned to dust. She ran. To where? She didn't know. As she ran, her feet slowly lifted off the ground. She was flying! She flew faster and faster. She was nearing the wall and instinctively she punched it. It's shattered revealing the outside world. It was daytime which was surprising compared to how dark it was in the room. Kara was now even more enraged than before. She needed hit something; anything. She grabbed a nearby car and threw it. It landed 3 miles away. As she was about to grab another car, when a green, almost Shield, like thing surrounded her. The Shield came from a man; more specifically his ring. On his chest he wore a Green Lantern symbol.
"Supergirl," he said desperately, "you don't need to do this, fight it!"
She had no idea what he was talking about. Who was this "Supergirl" he spoke of? It was certainly not her. Her name is Kara. Not Supergirl.
Another man came. He was wearing all black, had pointed ears, and a bat symbol on his chest. He flew around in a jet. A small hole appeared in the green shield surrounding Kara. The pointy eared man through in a glowing green Crystal. This Crystal hurt. It weakened Kara. She punched the shield but it had no impact. She looked up at the two men in terror as she slowly lost consciousness.

When Kara woke up again she wasn't angry, and she was not in that horrible place she had originally waken up in. She was in a hospital of sorts. It was bright and had a window. Through the window she could see the Moon along with the Earth and billions of stars. She was in space! A woman with jet black hair and a 'W' on her chest walked into the Infirmary.
"How are you feeling, Supergirl?" She asked. Kara looked around the hospital Wing to make sure the black haired woman was talking to her. She was still confused on who these people were referring to as Supergirl but she answered her question anyways.
"My head hurts, but other than that I am fine" Kara replied then paused, "Who is the 'Supergirl' everyone keeps referring to?"
"You don't know who you are?" she replied with a question of her own.
"No, I know who I am, my name is Kara," Kara said simply
"Do you know anything else?" she asked sounding a bit concerned.
"No." Kara replied.
The black haired woman looked shocked, she nodded her head sadly and then left the room. To Kara's surprise she was able to hear the woman talking someone through the steel door.
"She doesn't even know who she is!" The black haired woman spoke.
"Calm down Diana, I'm sure she'll be fine," said a man's voice that Kara did not recognize.
The man walked into Kara's room. He was tall and very muscular with an "S" on his chest.
"Hello, Kara," he said. Kara smiled, she was happy someone knew her name. "Do you know who I am?" he said in a sweet tone.
"I'm sorry but, no," she replied.
"I'm Superman, I'm your cousin," he clarified.
Kara stared at him for a moment. This was hard to digest.
"Am I Supergirl?" Kara asked.
"Yes!" Superman said, surprised she knew that. "And the woman that just came in here was Wonder Woman, and the two men that brought you here where Green Lantern and Batman." Kara scrunched up her nose. She did not like the Green Lantern or the Batman. "All of us," Superman continued despite Kara's obvious objection "You included, we are all a part of the Justice League."When he said 'Justice League' all of her memories came rushing back. Everyone who is in the Justice League, and all the battles that they had fought together, who she was, she knew it all! All except how she had gotten to that horrible place where she had first woken up. She hugged Superman, she had missed him.
"Thank you, Kal-El!" Supergirl said as she embraced her cousin. After a moment she stood up and left the room. She needed answers, and she needed them now. Superman stayed in the room, starstruck. No one had called him Kal-El since he was a baby on Krypton

Supergirl stormed through the hallways of the Watchtower to Batman's station.
"What the hell happened to me?!"She asked in mean manner.
"Oh, good morning Supergirl, I see you're finally awake." Batman said avoiding the question.
"Stop avoiding the question, Bruce and just answer me!" Supergirl demanded.
"During our latest battle you and Superman were exposed to Red Kryptonite. We were able to get Superman and stabilize him at the Watchtower before any damage was done, but they captured you before we could get to you." Batman explained.
"The place you originally woke up in is called katmas." Wonder Woman added as she entered the room. "But we don't know where it is or how to stop the people behind it."Wonder Woman put a hand on Batman shoulder. They were obviously a couple.
"We need to go to the main deck John has a mission for us." she added
"The Martian Manhunter."Kara said, acknowledging that she remembered who he was. Batman nodded and followed Wonderwoman to the main deck leaving Kara alone in the station
