I heard what he said.Which means:
He heard what I said that day.
I'm blushing hard, I'm glad he can't see my face.
We ride the rest of the way to the restaurant close together. One of the many perks of my motorcycle; Lance holds onto me. I feel bad for using my motorcycle just to get hugged but I do enjoy it without Lance- just not as much.
At the restaurant we walk through the parking lot together. We walk up the steps and Lance says "Katie Holt" to the hostess. Pidge's parents own the Italian restaurant and we have a reservation.
We walk through the crowded building and walk outside the backdoor, being lead by a short waitress with dyed blue hair. She was smiling at us widely and showed us outside.
Hunk and Pidge already sat at a table in the night outside. Fairy lights were strung around fences and poles, plants hang from overhead. There's soft music playing from somewhere and all in all a beautiful place.
Lance and I sit next to each other, he sits next to Pidge and there's an open space next to me. Hunk and Pidge already have started filling Lance in on their conversation, "So yeah! Matt got accepted into that awesome space program!" Pidge grins excitedly.
Lance gapes, "Really? That's awesome! Tell him I said congratulations!" Lance taps his chin and my eyes move slowly from his eyes, to his lips, and then to where his finger is touching his chin. "Speaking of Matt I haven't talked to him in what feels like forever. How is he?"
Pidge rolls her eyes, "Still obsessed with Shiro." Hunk and Lance laugh but there's a flicker of anger in his eyes, but also...hurt? "His crush hasn't changed huh?" Hunk laughs. I'm taken aback, "Pidge your brother has a crush on Shiro?" I didn't know anything about this!
Lance smiles at me and I think I might die.
Then he winks, "Yeah Matt's had a crush on him for how long Pidge?" "Five Years." "Jesus yeah! Five years Keith." Lance laughs. "Imagine having a crush on someone for five years!" I have to look away because we're getting into the dangerous territory of crushes.
Lance is my crush. I know that for sure. But everything else I don't know anything about. We've kissed, yeah, but only in emotional moments. I feel like I kiss him more than he kisses me though.....
The happy vibe for me is ruined when Acxa and Lotor sit at our table. I love my sister but she's always so quiet and never sticks up for me against her friends. She's so loyal to them it's weird.
Acxa sits next to me and Lotor sits next to her (the table is a big circle).
"This place is lovely,"Lotor starts with his idiotic accent. Also why does he say lovely so much? "This is your family's right Katie?" Lotor is admiring the outsides' decorations and Pidge pushes up her glasses and kind of side glances at Lance who sighs, "It's uh Pidge and yeah this is my family's."
A waitress with curly blonde hair and gray eyes comes walking up to our table, "Hi, I'm Annabeth, I'll be your waitress today. Would you all like anything to drink?" Annabeth has a sort of fake smile but then across the way, another table is being tended to by a guy with black hair and sea green eyes. He smiles at the girl and she's immediately in a great mood.
Crush? Boyfriend, maybe?
"Yeah can I get a Fanta?" Pidge asks without looking up at Annabeth. "I'll take a coke." I hear Lance's familiar voice, "I will as well." A (stupid-annoying-hoe-ass-thatneedstobackup) person with a British accent says. "Could I have an apple juice please?" A pure boy speaks.
"I'll take a black coffee and this guy will too." Acxa says plainly and points at me. Annabeth smiles at all of us, "Right away." Before she walks away the waiter from earlier that Annabeth was smiling at comes over, I'm not going to lie I see why Annabeth smiled so big when he smiled at her. He's hot. Not Lance hot but still hot.
He fake whispers and is smirking, "Hey be careful with Annabeth, don't make her angry or she might do something to your spaghetti~" the guy with sea green eyes warns.
Annabeth hits him and he cries out, "I'm so sorry and no-" she casts a warning glare at the guy, "I do not do anything to peoples foods. Don't worry." She says with a smile then storms off while tugging the guy's ear.
"Ow! Ow! Ow!"
I hear in the distance.
I can't help but see Lance and I in them. The guy is obviously Lance and I'd be Annabeth. Our table is laughing at what just happened between the obvious couple. They were cute.
"Dude! Do you want to come over for a sleepover? Mom would be super cool with it, and you could see how Mia is doing." I watch as Hunk invites Lance over. "That would be super fun but first-" Lance looks over at me and our eyes meet, he smiles his amazing smile, "I've got to ask my parents." I see that as code. He wants to know if I'm okay with it.
Why does it matter? Just because he's staying at my house doesn't mean he can't spend the night at other people's houses. Well, it is sweet that he's asking.
I nod slightly and he smiles big at me then Hunk, "Yeah, Dude I can come I'm sure my Mom won't mind." I knew both Hunk and Lance bonded over having single mothers. I know now what happened to Lance's father but I'm not sure about Hunk's father.
I also know that once I introduced Hunk and Lance that it started a best friendship. Sure at first I was jealous but I know how pure and good Hunk is. I know he doesn't have any ulterior motives with Lance unlike some people I hate.
"Lance. I'm sorry if this is a terrible question but what did happen to your father? Are your parents divorced?" An annoying British accent causes silence around the table. I can see Lance awkwardly shifting in his seat.
"Lotor. Me. You. Front. Now." I growl.
