Naki X Reader [Smile]

Chapter 4

-Naki's Dream-

(Y/N) was sat at her desk beside Naki. She was helping him improve his reading and writing skills. The girl gave him a closed-eye smile as he wrote another sentence correctly.

"You're amazing Naki!" (Y/N) exclaimed as she hugged the blonde male...

The scenery changed. Naki stood in complete darkness. "Hello!?" He called out but the only answer that came back was silence. Suddenly the sound of someone crying echoed throughout the darkness.

"H-help...p-please..." A familiar voice muttered. Naki ran towards the voice and saw (Y/N) on the ground, a stranger walking her way with a knife in his hand.

Naki activated his Kagune and slashed the stranger in half. He then hugged the girl tightly. "You saved me!" (Y/N) cried out as she threw her arms around Naki's neck.

He smiled triumphantly. "I will always protect you because..."

-End of dream-

"I love you." Naki muttered as he woke up. A slight chuckle reached the ghouls ears. He sat up and looked towards the kitchen, which was joined with the living room.

Izuki was sat at the kitchen island, a cup of coffee in hand. "You must've had a pretty nice dream eh?" The older male said with a smile. Naki rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. 'Did I really say that out loud?' He thought as he looked at the clock.

It was 8AM. "It's still early, want a cup of coffee?" Izuki asked. Naki gladly accepted the offer and stood up stretching. The ghoul walked up to the table and sat across from (Y/N's) older sibling.

"You know, (Y/N) didn't study with anyone since Kaneki went missing. I'm glad she finally found another friend. Apart from Hide and Kaneki, she didn't have any other friends." Izuki stated with a somewhat sad expression plastered on his face.

Naki suddenly came to a certain realisation. Kaneki. 'I heard that name before...Ah now I remember...I heard Eto calling eyepatch Kaneki once...' He thought to himself as he took a sip of the coffee Izuki made him moments earlier.

The two men talked for a while. "Welp I gotta go to work. See you later." Izuki said as he put a jacket on and left the house. Naki checked the clock. It was 8:30AM.

'The guys back at aogiri must be worried, I should get going but first I have to say goodbye to (Y/N)' Naki thought as he headed upstairs.

-Meanwhile in aogiri-

"Hey where's brother Naki?" Hoogura asked Shousei. The taller blonde man shrugged. "I'll go look for him." Hoogura added.

"Ayato have you seen Naki?" The white suit asked. Ayato shrugged. Hoogura kept asking everybody around but no one knew.

"Great I'll have to go out then..." He stated as he put on some casual clothing and headed out...

-Back at (Y/N's) house-

Naki checked the piece of paper and found the right door. He slowly opened the door and entered her room.

(Y/N) was fast asleep. Her covers were folded up in a way that she could wrap her arms and legs around them, in a hugging way.

The girl had a loose shirt on and very short shorts. The blonde ghoul looked at her sleeping form and blushed. 'She's beautiful.' Naki thought as he walked closer.

He moved a lock of hair out of her face. At this point Naki couldn't stop himself. He placed a gentle kiss on her forehead and moved away.

Naki walked towards her desk to grab his blazer but something pulled him back. The blonde looked behind him to see (Y/N's) hand clinging onto his sleeve.

"D-don't go...I-I'm scared..." (Y/N) said, her voice cracking. She just had a nightmare. Naki's eyes widened as he saw the tears in (Y/N's) (E/C) orbs.

Naki immediately pulled her into a hug. The girl sobbed into his chest as Naki rubbed her back in a soothing manor.

Once she calmed down a bit, she started telling Naki her nightmare. The ghoul held her close the entire time. "T-then they died right i-in front of my eyes." She continued.

"Don't worry I'm here for you (Y/N)...I will protect you..." Naki said as he hugged her tightly.

'I will never let anyone hurt her...' He thought.
