keith returned to his room.

he kind of just sat there, waiting for something to happen.

another week had gone by, and lance was still a no-show.

at this point keith was convinced he had one too many glasses of nunvil that day. there was no other explanation.

but he hated it. he absolutely hated, hated, that he, well,

missed lance.

a lot.

he then got up and started walking to lance's room. or at least, where lance's room would've been if he had still be been alive.

he gingerly pressed the door open, and there he was, standing by a bookshelf, carelessly flipping through a book.

"what the fu-"

"again with the stuttering, mullet? i dont have much time."

"i-" keith composed himself. he couldn't let time slip by like the other time. "am i really seeing you? are you really here?"

"of course you are. and of course i'm not." lance crinkled his nose.

in a moment of panic, Keith screamed: "GUYS ITS HIM ITS HIM HE'S HERE HE'S RIGHT HERE HE'S-"

allura, coran, pidge and shiro budged through the door, shocked, and scanned the room.

"uh, who's here?" pidge asked, scratching her head.

"LANCE! HE'S RIGHT THERE." keith half-shouted, pointing to where lance was very smugly smiling directly at him.

"keith, there's nothing there."

"WHY CANT YOU GUYS SEE HIM? HES STANDING RIGHT-"

"keith, you need to calm down right now. there's no one there. you're seeing things." shiro said gently, putting an arm on Keith's shoulder. "you should rest."

"i-" looking at his concerned teammates, he decided it was best not to say anything further. he didn't want to seem, well, mad.

"y-youre right. i'm fine. i'll just stay here for a little while longer," keith chuckled.

he watched as his puzzled teammates leave lance's room.

"ok, so are you ready to tell me what's going on-" keith started, but lance had once again vanished into thin air.
