She sat on the couch that was placed in the middle of her loft. It was illuminated by gold depressing lights. Everything was turned off. Only a few lights were on. She let her tears fall freely as she waited impatiently. She waited for him. She always will. She tried her best to keep it light on herself. But life seemed to not always help with that. Everything just seemed so dark, so dull, just dead.
She's used to it. She could even live with that. But that was as long as he's there. But when he isn't, her soul just trails off, exhausted. She leaned forward a little bit grabbing a white tissue. She wiped her meaningful sad tears as she sniffed. Not long after, she hear the bell ring quietly. She shakily walked to the door, wiping any remains of her tears, though she knew she wasn't going to stop anytime soon.
She opened the door to reveal his tall figure. She always stares at him lovingly but this time was so different. This time she noticed how man he's become. 8 years of love seemed to briefly swing before her eyes. She automatically smiled as a tear dropped. She was so proud of him like a mother would be proud of her kid. She scanned his surroundings to see a black suitcase settled on his side. She soon checked his face to notice they were red too, decorated with a layer of tears.
"You look so great," She moaned through her freshly formed lump as she stepped in to hug him tightly as ever, breathing in his scent. It's always been her favorite. And will forever remain to be one. He wrapped his muscular strong arms around her that they both felt each other's bones, only protected by some layer of clothes. He sniffed her vanilla scented hair that never failed to give him calming chills down his stomach.
They both held each other like there's no tomorrow. Letting very few but meaningful tears roll down their cold cheeks. He briefly rubbed her back comfortingly in a circular motion, gaining a tighter embrace in response. They both were resting their heads in the crook one another's neck. They eventually pulled away after what seemed like an eternity, smiling sadly, both trying their best to keep light on each other, but their eyes couldn't hide their actual feelings.
She proceeded to cup his cheeks with her shaky hands that he soon kissed one of them. And smiled at him proudly. They exchanged affectionate looks before leaning in to share a lovely kiss. She quietly sighed as she smiled at him after pulling away. And he returned the warm smile. She proceeded to grab his black suitcase inside but he quickly helped with the heavy case.
Some tears fell down her cheeks but she quickly tried to hide them by wiping them as she adjusted the bag and closed the door. He frowned as he noticed them. She pretended to be occupied with the bag but was soon interrupted by him, gently grabbing her face.
"Hey it's okay, right?" He calmed her, though it was useless anyways but he didn't want her to be harsh on herself. "It's gonna be fine,"
"Yea," She whispered, unable to properly speak because of the lump. She gave him a brief small smile but soon frowned again, unwillingly letting the tears fall as she couldn't handle it. He pulled her face closer, kissing her deeply, like she's a part of him. She immediately kissed him back the same way, lining her fingers with his jawline. He dropped his hands to her waist, and proceeded to wrap her legs around him as she quickly caught the gesture and happily let her secure his torso.
She wiped his tears while still kissing him as he took her to the bedroom. He slowly allowed her body to land still holding her carefully as she unwrapped her legs from around him and rested her feet above the ground, settled right in front of the bed. She took of his coat while still kissing him and cupped his face again right afterwards but soon had to remove as he needed to take off her jacket as well. They pulled away for a second as he tugged her shirt and once her arms trailed off, she tugged at his as well.
