"ashton, we can't be here." luke said grabbing ashton's arm. ashton pulled his arm away and kept walking. "ashton, seriously."

"luke, listen to me we'll be fine no one's gonna be here." ashton said stepping closer to the door, reached for the handle, and pulling with all the strength he had. the rusted over hinges of the door creaked as the door swung open. ashton turned back to luke and gave a cocky smile.

luke stood on the steps and watched as ashton walked closer to the door. "i'm not doing this. i'm not gettting in trouble again because you dragged me into something." he said as he moved closer to the door and watched as ashton made his way to the stairs that lead to dark abyss.

"well, if you're not coming then give me a flashlight." ashton said holding out his hand. luke sighed as he took his bag off his back and placed it on the ground.

he rummaged around his bag trying to find the flashlight now buried under all the other things in the small bag. once he found it, luke rose from his crouched down position and sighed handing the small flashlight to ashton. ashton gave another cocky smiled as he descended down the staircase. luke still stood at the door listening to the echoing footsteps of his friend until he heard a scream. he could feel his eyes widen and his heartbeat growing faster and faster. "ashton!" luke called.

it's just one of his games to get me down there with him. luke thought to himself. but what if...

luke descended down the same stairs his friend had just gone down. what is at the bottom of this? he thought.

the light from the open door shown down into a small area of the dark abyss. luke stopped at the base of the stairs and pulled out his flashlight from the side pocket of the bag. "ashton?" he said.

"boo!" ashton called out as he appeared form behind an old door that had been ripped off its hinges.

luke jumped back as ashton laughed. "you do this all the time." luke said pushing on ashton's chest. "i'm leaving. have fun." luke began to walk back to the stairs he had just went down. luke looked back at ashton looking scared.

"what?"

"the door." luke said.

"what about the door?"

"it's closed."

"it can't be." ashton walked up next to luke and shined the flashlight up to the door. he looked back at luke. "i'll check it." ashton made his way cautiously up the stairway. "luke,"

"w-what?" luke said his voice shaking.

"there's no door." ashton said shining the light on the solid concrete. "let's just walk around. there must be another door."

"this is all your fault." luke said crossing his arms over his chest."

"how is this my fault?" ashton said hitting luke's arm.

"i don't know." luke said. "i just have nothing logical to blame."

ashton shook his head and walked ahead of luke. he looked around as they walked along the dark hallway of whatever they were in. maybe luke was right. maybe this is my fault. but how. ashton sighed.

they walked for what felt lie was forever. the hallway seemed like it never happened. ashton sighed again and leaned his head against the wall.

"luke," he said.

"what?" luke said his voice filled with annoyance.

ashton squinted his eyes and looked down the hall. "what's that?"

"ashton?" luke said walking after him confused as to why he began to walk away.

"i don't understand." ashton said stopping and looked at a blinking light.

"don't understand what?" luke said crossing his arms. "the fact that the door disappeared or the fact that we're stuck down here?"

"what does that blinking light mean?" ashton said his hand shaking as he pointed to the light.

"it means..." luke stopped. "wait, blinking?"

the blinking got faster. luke and ashton stared at it. the blinking became faster and faster. then the blinking stopped. they both heard a smash as though someone had thrown something at the glass of the light. ashton felt something rip the flashlight from his hand and slam it on the concrete floor. the small bulb flickered for a few seconds and then died.

everything became dark.

ashton looked at where he last remembered luke standing, his breathing heavy , but he managed to say the words.

"i'm sorry."
