Tired to the bone,
Sick of what my life has sewn.
Don't want to be alone.
But I'm just a dead dial tone.
Growing cold inside,
Now that I must abide.
Can't take all of the lies,
Even after I cut the ties.
Hold my gaze to the end,
Something I can't rescind.
No longer have a care to lend,
No more love to spend.
My heart's gone bankrupt,
Doesn't want to wake up.
No cause for me to take up,
So I'll fall into this deep rut.
You just can't help me,
You just want to pelt me.
So just strap and belt me,
Because none of you felt me.
I can't explain the reason,
My soul's wintry season.
A man's life of treason,
Built by all your teasin.
Just let me have my scorn,
You let it be born.
Now I'm once more torn,
Beaten and forlorn.
I'll have my ending though,
No man in the grassy knoll.
No false and set up polls,
Just one man's hatred sold.
Hate me,
Just because I stand.
Rape me,
For my honest brand.
Take me,
To another land.
Fake me,
If you think you can.
Post-humous palaver,
A meeting of cadavers.
My teeth no longer chatter,
From the cold heart of an adder.
