“Where have you heard of a pup born a boy but when he shifts into the true form of his soul, he is a female wolf?” Dominic Donnelly could not tell whether the expression on his parents’ face were of anger, amazement, pride, or shame as he himself felt shameful, looking up, between them, towards the doctor, and down again.
He didn’t know what was wrong with him, he wiped at the tears that fell down his face, he only did what they told him to.
Picture the true form of your soul, breathe in air as the image breathes it in, and when you sync, let that roar ring throughout the forest, let them hear their true Ruler.
“Spins a new definition to the term ‘Alpha Male’ for you boy doesn’t it, Bill?” the doctor nudged his father.
Dominic’s lip quivered, but then he was buried in wonderful lavender scented hair.
His mother had embraced him.
Tears in her eyes, he cried and clutched onto his mother harder than he ever has before, about to apologise for what he’d done, but then she smiled, and his father joined them.
Dominic froze as his parents cried with him.
“Dominic, my love.” They said together.
“This will be a hard life.” Dominic’s mother whispered to him, close to sobbing, while he himself was already petrified and sobbing.
“But we will love you, no matter what, no matter who you are.” His father continued.
Dominic’s eyes widened.
“You did nothing wrong but take the form of your soul, and if this is your soul.” They smiled as they looked at each other and turned to him with nothing but pure undiluted love in their eyes.
“Then we accept her.”
